Hillary Clinton and Ed Snowden: Some Animals Are More Equal Than Others

Hillary Clinton has repeatedly attacked Ed Snowden for being careless with government information. So it is ironic that she has been found guilty of being . . . careless with government information. She, of course, will suffer no consequences, since she is part of the ruling class.

An Israeli Media Confirms: Britain Has Been Operating as an Israeli Puppet within the EU

“Britain helped moderate and balance EU decisions about the peace process, blunt criticism and even harness the member states against anti-Israel moves at the UN; voices sympathetic to the Palestinian cause could now become more dominant.”

ISIS Just Proved It Has Nothing to Do With Islam

While the terrorist group known as the Islamic State (or ISIS, ISIL, or Daesh) might be a formidable and abhorrent foe, one mischaracterization of these terrorists — repeated far too often by politicians and many in the media — must be put to rest. The Islamic State has nothing to do with Islam — no matter what the group chooses to call itself.

For nearly perfect evidence of this fact, consider how many brutal massacres occurred during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan — a period of spiritual reflection, peace, and restraint during which Muslims fast from dawn until dusk and are encouraged more than ever to refrain from behavior that would be considered sinful. Islam, as many major religions, already teaches peace as a rule — and the Qur’an states that killing one person would be akin to slaying all of humanity.

Yet the so-called Islamic State has slaughtered thousands over the two years since it declared itself a caliphate — and Ramadan certainly didn’t halt its murderous rampage.

Hillary Non-Indictment Proves Only the Poor and Unconnected Have to Follow Laws

In July of 2015, the FBI charged Bryan H. Nishimura, a Naval reservist deployed in Afghanistan in 2007 and 2008, for the “unauthorized removal and retention of classified materials.”

Nishimura, who served as a Regional Engineer for the U.S. military in Afghanistan, “had access to classified briefings and digital records that could only be retained and viewed on authorized government computers,” an FBI statement at the time explained. But instead of following protocol, the formal Naval officer “downloaded and stored” sensitive records on his “personal, unclassified electronic devices and storage media.”

    Hillary Rebuffs Bernie’s Policy Demands

The platform committee sessions quickly became confrontations with the supporters of Bernie Sanders, and resulted in a successful effort to stymie his reform agenda for the Democratic Party. This was done despite the political danger such a tactic of frustration represents – dangerous because Sanders has some 12 million supporters, many of whom
are not yet convinced that Hillary Clinton deserves their vote. Thus, what may turn out to be a politically self-destructive game plan on her part requires some explanation. Here is one possible way of understanding her actions.

“are not yet convinced that Hillary Clinton deserves their vote”
Hillary hasn’t appeared to give the impression that she even needs their vote.
The Democratic party platform IS largely platitude.
Like Nancy Pelosi once said “we’ll just have to vote for it, to see what’s in it”.
That’s not the way to generate excitement or to remove anxiety.

Mass Shootings and Massacres in America: The Political, Cultural and Socio-psychological Features of US Society

Today there is no collective social expression with highly credible, committed mass activists as there had been during the 1960-70’s, when large-scale civilian initiated massacres were very rare. The notorious 1967 mass shooting in Austin Texas by a former Marine champion sharpshooter (one shot per kill) was followed by meticulous expert examination of the circumstances and context. Today, there are no political collective or community responses like that of the Texas tower sniper. During the 1980-90’s, the elites encouraged and
promoted voracious aggressions against rival markets and whole nations, which the financial press pundits have celebrated as expressions of the ‘animal spirits’, the triumph of the ‘fittest’, most individualistic capitalism. From 2000 to the present, the mass media has saturated its audiences with military solutions to individual grievances. The psychopathology of the mass murderers is reflected in the state writ-large.

Jill Stein’s Green New Deal Deserves to Be Heard by Widest Audience Possible

Jill Stein is running for president of the United States for the second time. She was the Green Party nominee in 2012 and finished with less than 1 percent of the vote, the most successful run of any female presidential candidate in U.S. history.

Stein has got good, progressive ideas and deserves to be heard by a wide audience. This is especially true since the election is coming down to a contest between Clinton and Donald Trump, who are battling each other for first place in the unpopularity category. In that kind of election, nothing is impossible.

    Hmmm. Interesting idea.
Use one’s age for a screen name.
Might be better than going with a silly-sounding piece of apparel…..

I wanted to do that, but my age was already taken. So I used my mom’s.

Ok gang, I got a good organic gardening tip for you.
Right now my tomatoes are almost knee-high and before it’s over I’ll get 14 feet of growth out of those rascals. A lot of it has to do with what I do with the soil, which I’ll cover another time.
Plants have 3 stages of growth and need 3 basic elements. For vegetative growth, the stage they’re in now, nitrogen is needed. I get mine from compost tea.

This is the tip – get you a nice big piece of linoleum. I got mine from a house being renovated. I’d guess the piece I have is roughly 5 feet by 9 feet. What I did was first lay the linoleum on the ground and described its outline with a hoe. Then I scalped the area with a shovel and sculpted the ground. Then I laid the linoleum back down.
My compost pile goes on one side and takes up over a third of the surface. Under the pile, the ground sloped very gently toward the other side. From the midpoint under the linoleum going to the other end, the ground is dug out in a wide, shallow dish, deepest at the far end. You see, the idea is rainwater goes through the compost pile and collects in this pool where I scoop it out. So the shape of the bottom is such that it makes scooping out the black, funky water into a 5-gallon bucket easy. I scoop it with the lid of one of those kettle-shaped charcoal grills.
That black water is pure nitrogen, baby.
After a rain like we had last night there’s about 10 or 12 gallons of this black water pooled on there. It’s too strong to put on plants straight. I cut it 50-50 with rainwater collected in other buckets. COMPOST TEA IS THE BOMB! My asparagus loves it and so does everything else.
Another advantage is the linoleum keeps tree roots from growing up into my compost pile, stealing nutrients. Bricks scattered around the perimeter hold it down.

My compost pile is not that big. It’s about 3-1/2 feet in diameter. I don’t bother with any kind of enclosure. They just get in the way and aren’t needed. Just periodically reach into the middle and pull toward the edges and you can have sides going straight up, 4 feet or so. I just keep re-piling what falls around the edges and the result is a nice, neat pile of black gold. It eats up leaves I rake up, pulled weeds and whatever I put in a coolaid container on my kitchen counter. I brush off bread crumbs, toss in contents of tea bags, coffee grounds, and empty ash trays in there.
Just remember – nothing with a red blood cell (meat, unless you’re a fan of ecoli) and nothing from the nightshade family goes in there. The nightshade family includes potatoes, tomatoes and peppers. Trimmings from those go in the trash. No salt, either, except what is in bread.
What I do to the soil and using compost tea is why my tomatoes will grow 14 feet or more. They get to growing so fast it becomes a struggle to keep them down – and that’s in spite of the fact that I got the early blight in the soil here.

Woman makes dress out of other people’s pubic hair

“Just another reminder that there are people doing some really important work out there.

Sarah Louise Bryan, a 28-year-old mother of two, apparently got a tad bored with herself because she took the time to sit down and make herself a dress. And that’s all fine and dandy until you realize that she made it out of pubic hair. If you have a strong stomach, go ahead and keep reading to find out how she did it.

Sarah reached out to people through social media, and pretty much asked them to donate not money, but their precious pubes. It took Sarah six months to finish her creation, but it wasn’t easy. Sarah found herself close to vomiting several times while making it. All in the name of art!”

Perception Management: How to Sell a War

“Perception Management” was pioneered in the 1980’s under the Reagan administration in order to avoid the public opposition to future wars that was seen during the Vietnam War.

The United States Department of Defense defines perception management as:

Actions to convey and/or deny selected information and indicators to foreign audiences to influence their emotions, motives, and objective reasoning as well as to intelligence systems and leaders at all to influence official estimates, ultimately resulting in foreign behaviors and official actions favorable to the originator’s objectives.

In various ways, perception management combines truth projection, operations, security, cover and deception, and psychological operations.

At the onset of the Iraq war in 2003, journalists were embedded with US troops as combat cameramen. The reason for this was not to show what was happening in the war, but to present the American view of it. Perception management was used to promote the belief that weapons of mass destruction were being manufactured in Iraq to promote its military
intervention, even though the real purpose behind the war was regime change.

‘Abhorrent’: Video of woman brutally beaten by cop in front of young daughter surfaces 2 years on

A bodycam video has resurfaced after two years showing the horrific scene of a Utah woman being handcuffed and beaten by a Salt Lake City officer as her daughter looks on. Authorities are now considering bringing charges against the retired cop.

The footage appears to have been found and posted by the woman’s elder daughter, and emerged on YouTube on Tuesday. It immediately caused a stir both online and with the Salt Lake City police, whose chief issued a public statement on Wednesday, alleging that the matter was only brought to his attention after the video surfaced the previous day.
