Gutfeld To Me: Why Do Liberals Have A Hard Time Identifying Evil

Posted by | August 29, 2014 00:05 | Filed under: Politics Top Stories

It’s not whether or not liberals (like me) can’t identify evil. It’s whether or not ISIS is a threat to the United States, and I, much to the horror of Greg Gutfeld and most viewers of the O’Reilly Factor, said they are not a threat and we should stay out of a war between Sunni and Shiite Muslims. But my answer goes to the core of what is really the issue: We don’t need to be involved everywhere in the world where there is evil, and ISIS is not an”existential threat,” as Greg put it, to the United States.

My appearance did not sit well with my adoring Twitter fans.

All they have are insults because you already won the debate.

When Bill O is losing he just cuts the mike. The name calling is just for his own pleasure

bill raises his voice once he’s defeated and often on his own show. At least gutfeld can take the hits.

Racism is evil and conservatives can’t identify it at all.

Why Identify with something they support???

Ron, I just wanted to say that as an atheist I find (many of) your posts refreshing. Thanks for challenging the evangelicals with common sense and reason.

Just Wow! I hope that you have a special supply of laughing gas to get through those!

That Gutfeld Fella is a Feisty one, oddly looks like O’Reilly and Beck all in one person???

    • Eric Trommater August 29th, 2014 at 00:31

The fact is Alan is on the right side of history. 14 years ago it was the GOP decrying America becoming the policeman of the world. It was a political gimmick though because as soon as they took power they turned around and got us involved in two quagmires and seem hell bent on getting us into another.

      • tiredoftea August 29th, 2014 at 00:34

No question that’s true. With the neo con takeover of the right, they have never missed an opportunity to foment, start or advocate for war.

Not all Liberals are true Liberals.

    • Eric Trommater August 29th, 2014 at 00:28

Litmus tests are what ruins political parties. Ask the GOP how well they worked for them between 1933-1953. It’s not pretty.

      • Tammy Minton Haley August 29th, 2014 at 12:19

i believe we share this notion–i have agreed with you before about the “litmus test” philosophy…we cannot be in lock-step with one another, but we must be sensible…

i’d love a “Sanders/Warren2016” ticket, too–but they can’t win…and, a litmus test on our dems will get us a regressive in the white house…

He ‘forgot’ Hagel was a Republican? That tells you all you need to know about the modern GOP. Fact free and proud to be. Why are we letting the Neo-Cons push us into another war that doesn’t serve our national interests? Why aren’t there more people standing up and saying “not in my name,” like we did the last time they pulled this con on us? We are fighting to support Iran and Syria people? Does this make sense to anyone?

    • tiredoftea August 29th, 2014 at 00:35

Only as a matter of protecting Israel and our oil supplies. A stretch to be sure.

      • Eric Trommater August 29th, 2014 at 00:41

Yeah the convoluted logic behind this whole mess is more complicated than the whole “we have to protect Israel so the Messiah can return there and start the war that brings the end times on” thing. Yet the way it gets reported we are supposed to just wave the flag and say ‘go America,’ with no idea who we are going against or who we are supporting.

        • tiredoftea August 29th, 2014 at 00:42

You can switch channels now back from Fox, you have internalized their message!

        • fancypants August 29th, 2014 at 01:14

          that’s right Eric
Fight the war(s) now and we will complain about the national debt when 2016 comes around. Can we still say its all the black guy’s fault ?

          • Eric Trommater August 29th, 2014 at 02:01

Yes! I’m not big into conspiracy theories, but Daniel Patrick Moynihan once broached a very logical theory about the GOP artificially creating budget crisis’s in order to bring down, what they thought of as, the welfare state. It seemed crazy back in the 1980’s when he said it, but after Bush II blew a budget surplus, and the RWNJ’s pushing Obama into another war we can’t afford it seems like he may have been right all along.

            • fancypants August 29th, 2014 at 02:27

somehow I think ALL of us are missing the war(s) vs the tax payer objective. Is it too late to eliminate the golden parachute for bad behavior ?

Don’t take this personal alan but gutfeld doesn’t know the difference between parody ( redeye) and news ( the *factor ) greg will take a paycheck any way he can get it.
*you didn’t waste your time on this show tonight but I would have entertained the thought of suspended ceiling darts instead. Its more challenging ….

    • Eric Trommater August 29th, 2014 at 00:36

It is a bit like taking candy from a baby but also I think Alan used it to reach a large percentage of conservatives who also think this is a bad idea. Most of my conservative friends agree with Alan on this issue and think people like Gutfeld are full of it.

      • fancypants August 29th, 2014 at 00:53

that’s funny most conservatives I come across agree that there are better shows to watch at 7pm m-f

In that video their RWNJ cries the same tears & fears as our RWNJ’s do. Lol. Boo-hoo Bwaaaaa. “Am I supposed to be scared of that video?”-Alan beheads Gutfeld with logic.

I think all those Twitter twits should suit up and go fight ISIS themselves. They’re nothing but Dick Cheney clones. They’d be only too happy to watch someone else’s sons and daughters go fight and die in the Middle East.

  20. Chinese Democracy August 29th, 2014 at 02:12

my favorite “after the beheading of an American , he doesnt believe ISIS is a threat”. Leave it to a t bagger to think one crazy man with a knife is a threat to a country with the most powerful military on earth.

P.S I see a drone in the crazy mans near future.
