Lindsey Graham Has Officially Lost His Mind

Once again, Mr. Deference to Republicans with a side of hardline questions to Democrats, David Gregory, has engineered another episode of Meet The Press that could double as a commercial for the RNC.  After an interview with Secretary of State Kerry, where facts were given regarding Gaza, MH 17 and the Border Crisis, a smirking Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) appeared on the screen.

The most lopsided interview to date

I recorded it and the transcript below is directly from the interview. In regards to Kerry’s comments, Graham said:

“That was the most delusional summary that I can imagine.  It scares me that he (Secretary Kerry) believes that the world is in such good shape.  America is the glue that holds the free world together.  Leading from behind is not working, the world is adrift, and President Obama has become the King of Indecision. His policies are failing across the globe and it will come here soon.”

Gregory asked what Kerry left out, saying, “What is the administration not yet prepared to do that you think must be done?” (Since Graham deserves the final say on the matter, as his foreign policy ideas have been the model of peace and prosperity for the U.S.)

“What he didn’t call Putin the THUG that he is.  He didn’t call for the arming of the Ukraine so they can defend themselves against local separatists supported by Russia.  All the enemies of our nation are being well supplied, Russia and Iran are helping Syria, a 160,000 have been slaughtered, John Kerry, by Russian-supplied weapons to Assad. Syria has become a safe-haven for terrorists to attack our nation.” (from Syria?) He then commented on how the Europeans weren’t going to lead on the issue of laying heavy sanctions on Putin and we can’t keep “leading from behind. There’s a battle of wills between the KGB colonel and the “Community Organizer” (aka black guy) and the colonel is winning. “

Next Graham went into harsh criticism mode on the “deliberative” nature of the president.

He said, “it comes off as indecisive, he’s trying to be thoughtful, it comes off as weakness.”  He then supported aggressive US-European sanctions on Russia, especially in the banking sector and he finished up his rant on how we should rebuild the missile defense systems “that Obama took down.”

The final comment was regarding the border crisis. Gregory asked if his party was prepared to move with the President on this. He predictably said, “there will be NO MONEY….we have to streamline and quicken deportations, there will be no immigration reform because of the crisis on the border, I blame Obama for this moment.”(my bold)

He then stated the 2015 “Republican Congress” with the House leading (of course) will need to solve this immigration crisis or they won’t win the White House in 2016. However, they are not prepared in any way to cooperate with anyone to change anything.

I jokingly predicted this earlier this week on Twitter:

The South Carolinian best bud of Senator McCain, in a very short time, blamed Obama for the border crisis, the crisis in Palestine and the Ukrainian mess.  Naturally, David Gregory had absolutely no challenges to any of those assertions and, in fact, followed up the interview with a largely Republican panel who parrotted Graham’s delusional ravings.

I have told you Lindsey Graham and his friends in GOP are primitive and childish. The crisis in Syria – this is due to religious differences-each side is holding its belief; Israel and Palestine -this fight has been going on for years -president after president have tried
to solve without success; Iraq -this should be blamed on Bush II and Cheney – why did we go there the 2nd time! Downing the Malaysian plane -I am sorry people died -but pilots were told not to fly over that area; the border issue – I thought Lindsey Graham and GOP had morals as a born-again Christians. So he and GOP are fake as lovers of Jesus. These kids are running away from tyrants and killers. FoxNews Bill O’rielly had the same decision-ship these kids back to tyrants. Bill O almost lost his job at FoxNews. What if these kids were Irish-as Sean Hannity parents who fled Ireland? We did not tell Hannity
father –go back. So Lindsey Graham and GOP should be racist and bigots to tell
these Latino kids to go back where they will be sold as slaves. I have told you
GOP, TPs and right winger have primitive mind faking as conservatives. Please don’t vote for them in November.

Yeah, and if we had armed the Syrian rebels, the weapons would have likely fallen into the wrong hands, and these same people would be blaming Obama for that, too. These carpers, are just a bunch of annoying little gnats, that take any opportunity to get their faces on television. The President just needs to do his job in the careful, deliberate way he is doing it. Flooding the Ukraine with weapons would be a provocation right on Putin’s doorstep. We wouldn’t put up with it here either. It would just make matters worse and poison relations between two nuclear powers. These pipsqueaks will play politics with anything. Neither Graham or McCain have a shred of statesman ship in them. They are children.

Cruz (the light skin Cuban Latino Senator from Texas born in Canada to parents who were instrumental in Fidel Castro winning the Revolution) says America should STOP being the beacon of light and hope for the oppressed yearning to breathe free; that it’s all Obama’s fault that people have faith in the American Dream when there’s no WHITE Republican Racist in the White House. Shame on Obama for keeping the Dream Alive! – Cruz should know. He’s from Canada!

      • pmbalele July 21st, 2014 at 00:29

You’re right. Ted Cruz should be careful. Racists in Texas don’t know yet he is not quite White. Once they know he is half Latino, GOP will dump him next election. This also applies to Marco Rubio. Rubio has alienated Latino and Black electorates. Like Allen West, he will find himself jobless next election. People should know GOP is a rich White-males’ org. Racial minorities and women are treated as token.

Gregory has to go. What a joke. What is NBC waiting on, someone even more clueless?

  3. dmcrane July 20th, 2014 at 22:48

I refuse to watch Meet the Press as long as Gregory is there. Take the pledge and let NBC know.

NBC needs to rid themselves of David Gregory. He’s the worst newscaster in television and MTP is inconsequential as a result…

  8. smooth edward July 20th, 2014 at 22:59

Lindsey Graham has become a major douche bag, petulant, disrespectful. Maybe he’s just tired of reminding John McCain were he is.

    • dan9el July 21st, 2014 at 00:23

Actually Mr Graham does not need to remind Mr McCain what them both are,…a pair of corrupted politicians at full range with no regards about the American public.
      Input anyone? Opinions welcome.

No let the republicans keep talking crazy. Being Gay is like being an alcoholic . The border kids have emboli , and are terrorist. Obama one minute is leading from behind then Obama thinks he is a King or a Dictator. And to be Raped, “per George Will” is a status of women then feeling a more special Status. And these fools celebrate that a Womens employer can now tell women what kind of birth control they can take and can’t have. The republicains have all Lost Their Minds.

    WTF
can’t LL post any current situations?
Graham flew over the nest, out the window and off the charts long time ago.
What happens when the WHITE guy is safely in his Klan.

    • granpa.usthai July 21st, 2014 at 00:57

apparently his mind ain’t the only thing he’s lost.

POTUS Obama wears a for real made in the USA flag lapel pin; not the cheap imitation Chinese ones GOPs wear, or in this case, their Islamist Lobbyist won’t allow them to wear.

The problem isn’t Graham or any other insane republican they put on the show. They’re a dime a dozen. The bigger problem is the media for giving them a voice and not busting their lies when they say them but that’s to be expected from the corporate conglomerates they are. The biggest problem is most people who vote these guys into office, which is being done through the media, never hear the other side. If all people hear is one side of things, they’re going to believe it has to be true.
Nothing will change until there is actual news being given to the people.
MSNBC does a good job usually but even they’re restricted and they could use some more substantial and more generally respected news reporters. Maddow and Hayes are great but have a small audience. I wish Alan was at MSNBC.

    • CharlieMA July 21st, 2014 at 09:37

Totally agree.. Jennifer Granholm would be a great addition.. she has a similar style to that of Hayes and Maddow.

Question: Does Comcast have any influence in the production of MSNBC?

      • lindsncal July 21st, 2014 at 14:12

Yes, of course Comcast has influence on their network. Imagin if a reporter wanted to do a story about how Comcast rips people off and their terrible service or how Comcast and the rest of the internet suppliers are charging this country much more than other countries do while giving us far less service. We rank about 37th in the world for internet speeds and pay up to ten times more than other countries do.
Rupert Murdoch, Fox News, is now trying to buy Time Warner, CNN after failing to buy major newspapers all over the country.
It just gets worse and worse.

I have Comcast.. great stuff /s

all I know is I am grateful we do not have a republican for president. if they had there way, our military would be stretched and we would have troops in syria, israel, ukraine, and any other place there is conflict.

I am still trying to understand how a political that says it is pro life is also pro-war, and pro-gun, and pro- death penalty. apparently the republicans only care about you while you are in the womb. after that, you’re on your own.
