Look at the Greeks,'” he said. “Well, you know, they did have people come along who they loved that was the same sex and would give them massages before they went into battle. But you know what, it’s a different kind of fighting, it’s a different kind of war and if you’re sitting around getting massages all day ready to go into a big, planned battle, then you’re not going to last very long. It’s guerrilla fighting. You are going to be ultimately vulnerable to terrorism and if that’s what you start doing in the military like the Greeks did … as people have said, ‘Louie, you have got to understand, you don’t even know your history.’ Oh yes I do. I know exactly. It’s not a good idea.”

Whatever one’s opinions about Israel might be, no one can argue that they know a thing or two about maintaining a world class military force.
If gays in the military is good enough for the chosen people, it is certainly good enough for the Land of the Free.

He is a tad bit off. Most Greeks who engaged in same gender sodomy were married to women and the males they sodomized were younger than seventeen. The Greeks deemed males who submitted sexually to other males beyond the age of seventeen unfit for society and they were relegated to the fringe.

You would be hard pressed to find a politician today who isn’t talking out of his or her rear-end 24/7. Seems it is getting harder and harder for voters to distinguish between reality and reality TV; they vote as if their vote is inconsequential.

I would strongly disagree.
Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont addresses very directly issues that are of concern to a lot of people. Regardless of whether you agree with Sen. Sanders’ positions on the issues, the difference between him and Gohmert is like the Pacific Ocean and the Gobi Desert.
