Push Is On To Impeach Obama

Posted by | July 6, 2014 23:20 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics Top Stories

Conservatives are more forcefully than ever talking about bringing impeachment proceedings against President Obama. Forget about how this will affect the perception of a party and a Congress bereft of ideas. Forget about how this will be perceived, given that President Obama, committing no high crimes or misdemeanors, is our first black president. They hate his guts. They have Obama Derangement Syndrome.

It’s fueled by conservative anger over the president’s increasing use of executive actions on issues such as immigration and air pollution regulations, the exchange of Taliban detainees for the release of U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdhal, and the familiar issue of the Affordable Care Act.

“I submit that Barack Hussein Obama’s unilateral negotiations with terrorists and the ensuing release of their key leadership without consult – mandated by law – with the U.S. Congress represents high crimes and misdemeanors, an impeachable offense,” former Rep. Allen West, R-Fla., wrote on his website in June.

Yeah, make sure you get his middle name in there to remind everyone that he’s got the same name as Saddam Hussein. Must be just as bad, too.

South Dakota’s Republican Party passed a resolution at its June convention calling for Obama’s impeachment for violating “his oath of office in numerous ways.”

“We wanted to have a shot across the bow to the president and Congress that nobody is above the law,” said Dr. Allen Unruh, the delegate who sponsored the resolution. “Our goal is to embolden Congress.”

Unruh said he has a “thick book on impeachable offenses of the president.” So does Andrew McCarthy, who’s been making the conservative media rounds with his recently released book “Faithless Execution: Building the Case for Obama’s Impeachment,” which offers a sort of template for removing Obama from office.

I urge the Republicans to keep doing this. Don’t come up with a better health plan. Keep pretending that it’s President Obama who screwed up Iraq. Continue pouding the impeachment drum. Then look at who the president is after 2016.

Actually, as long as YOU keep on doing what YOU’RE doing, your ineffective, inept, nexperienced president will continue to be shot down by the Supreme Court and watch his polls continue to plunge.

Btw, liberals are valiant emulators. This all began with BUSH DERANGEMENT SYNDROME.

that’s right, bark dittohead, bark. Now roll over. Good boy.

Now here is some more stuff you can blame on the President.

Job losses were cut by more than 50% within his first 4 months in office.
He saved the American auto industry.
Has cut our deficits by more than half.
      Killed Osama bin Ladin.
Got Syria to give up their chemical weapons without firing a single shot.
Presided over record breaking stock levels (with the Dow just recently closing over 17,000 for the first time in its 118-year history).
Reduced unemployment from 10% to 6.1%.
We just saw the fastest first quarter of job growth in the United States since 1999.
The quickest drop in unemployment in 30 years.
52 straight months of private sector job growth.
9.7 million private sector jobs created.
Over 8 million people signed up for health care thanks to the Affordable Care Act.
Millions of Americans have gained, or kept, health care coverage thanks to Medicaid expansions and being able to stay on their parents’ insurance longer.
He hasn’t started a single war.
Hasn’t tried to confiscate a single gun.

Fascinating. You’ve bought every fudging of the numbers, hook line and sinker, that I know you did absolutely no verification. There no reasoning with folks like you because you’re not reasonable or thinking critically.

Lol he got Syria to give up chemical weapons without a shot fired, lol, thanks f or the laugh… enjoy your spoonfeeding.

You have to come up with some facts and stop with the insults already, it doesn’t bode well for your side. But then, that’s all conservatives are good for these days – making attacks.

          • Ruby Tuesday July 11th, 2014 at 07:20

I’m not a conservative… but it’s amazing how you copy/paste a bunch of debunked propaganda then blame conservatives like your lord Obama taught you.

Actually, the latest Gallup poll has him up 5 to 45. Granted that’s
underwater but perfectly normal for a two-term president
with two years to go. Bush was in the low 30s as I recall. Whether
the bump lasts remains to be seen. It could have something to do with
the god-awful SCOTUS decisions from last week.

      • Ruby Tuesday July 7th, 2014 at 23:33

I see. So if you stand at the 50yd line and do either nothing or everything wrong, that makes you an experience football player… especially if you had no ball playing experience prior.

Great logic. No wonder he got elected with great minds like you out there.

Isn’t a term-and-a-half a little late to be pushing for impeachment? Seems far better to expend the energy on putting together a candidate who can challenge the situation and fix the problems.

    • mea_mark July 7th, 2014 at 10:36

They have to justify their time in Washington somehow, we all know the republicans don’t actually want to do anything. Their job in Washington is to say NO!

Congressional Republicans and their paid propagandists employed by News Corp, along with bombastic, bellicose blowhards such as Limbaugh have been shouting into the wind, calling for Obama to be impeached … ever since he was originally elected in 2008.

The House Republican majority and Senate minority have become obsessed with discussing and voting on meaningless, totally symbolic, wholly partisan proclamations as a means of avoiding any discussion of useful, substantive, productive legislation that meets the needs and concerns of the American people at large.

Besides, it’s an election year — to hell with problem-solving, there is much political posturing to be done.
Bring on the faux scandals and absurd conspiracy theories.
Oh, and Obama dined out with his family last week. Impeach him now!

They believe and regurgitate everything they hear from Fox, Limbaugh, Beck, Palin, Hannity, etc. and they refuse to watch ANY other news channel because Fox tells them not to. They’re a pathetic bunch, who by the way, are dropping like flies as I type this.
