Ferguson ‘March For Justice’ Met With Racial Slurs, Display Of Fried Chicken From Darren Wilson Supporters

About 50 activists marching from Ferguson to Jefferson City encountered hostility from Darren Wilson supporters in Rosebud. The protesters were met with racial slurs, a display of fried chicken, a melon and  and a 40-ounce beer bottle which had been placed in the street. A Confederate flag flew and racial epithets were shouted, according to the Columbia Missourian. Wilson supporters yelled out “welfare checks” to those marching.

One man showed his support for the KKK while staring down protesters. The man pictured reportedly yelled obscenities at the protesters and told them to “get back to work” while he was clearly not at work.

The ugly display was caught on video.

One witness observed a boy approximately 8-years-old holding a sign that read, “Go home.”

The window of the buses traveling with the march was shot out. The NAACP titled it the Journey for Justice.

The bullet landed in the windowsill and the outer glass was broken out, according to the driver.

Warning: The language and images are disturbing:

While saying they support law enforcement these are likely the same people who supported Cliven Bundy’s militia supporters who aimed rifles at federal agents.

If you’re traveling through Missouri, I suggest driving around Rosebud, not through it.

I never understood the fried chicken, watermelon, beer and grape soda thingy. I also like those things, so does that make me black? A “n*gger lover”? If I like those things, but don’t want to be perceived as someone “undesirable” by KKK standards, do I need to consume the items in private?

Right, what does a klansman do who likes fried chicken, eat it in the closet? I’m sure they have KFC in the south, and white folks eat there too.

Not only are they cowards, but they’re apparently ASHAMED of their Anglo-Saxon heritage, since they always identify themselves as “white” and never by their true ancestry.

The American Revoloution against King George III has a lot to do with that. Every other American of European ancestry other than English have no problem celebrating the heritage of their ancestors from the “old country,” be they Irish, Scottish, Welsh, Italian, French, German, Polish and so on.

It is only among those decendants of England — especially those in the South — who insist on identifying themselves either simply as “Americans” or as “white,” living in total ignorance or denial of their English ancestry and heritage and have gone to great lengths to cut themselves off from it — all because of the revolution against the English monarch.

Not only have those “lost” descendants of England cut themselves off from their roots, but they have also been the most systematic in attempting to cut everyone else off from THEIR ancestral and cultural roots — including the decendants ot the original inhabitants of this land — insisting that “there is only one America!” One nation, one language, one culture. It’s a vision of America that does not exist in reality and never has.

The USA is not a “melting pot.” It is a mosaic, a patchwork quilt of many peoples and many cultures sewn together by a core set of common beliefs and principles. That patchwork quilt was torn asunder and nearly destroyed in the 1860s by the Civil War.

A century and a half later, I’m beginning to wonder if our national patchwork quilt is in danger of being torn asunder again.
