Click here for reuse options!Former U.S. president George H.W. Bush has been moved to an intensive-care unit at a Houston hospital with pneumonia and was stable and resting comfortably after doctors performed a procedure to clear his airway, his office said on Wednesday.
His wife, former first lady Barbara Bush, also was admitted to the same hospital on Wednesday as a precaution after experiencing fatigue and coughing, the office said in a statement.

Some people call them dumb and dumber but that’s not nice.
Actually, I think Bush 41 had a fairly high IQ even though he could seem goofy at times.

Yes, I’ve read that several times, dumb and dumber. But without following his presidency at the Internet, like we do now, I have a vague idea of him, except for his Party.

I was a young adult during the first Bush. He wasn’t the worst but he wasn’t great.
He paid the price for Reagan’s bad economic policies but I think it was the rise of the southern, ideological Republicans that did him in. Bush Sr. just wasn’t extreme enough for them.

I gotta say, Barbara Bush has always rubbed me the wrong way. But George Bush Sr. seems like an OK guy. His war in Iraq was a blunder but nothing compared to his son’s
In my mind, I put Ford and Bush 41 in a similar champ — not bad people but probably over their heads as presidents. Even so, they were from a time when Republicans could be reasonable.
Anyway, like you, I personally wish both the Bush’s well.
