    Obama previously warned them.

During the G20 summit in China’s Hangzhou, Barack Obama warned the President of Russia to regarding the alleged “interference of the Russian Federation in the US presidential election.”

Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters that Obama warned his Russian counterpart Putin of serious consequences in case Russia attempted to meddle in the US presidential campaign.
