Click here for reuse options!U.S. intelligence officials now believe with “a high level of confidence” that Russian President Vladimir Putin became personally involved in the covert Russian campaign to interfere in the U.S. presidential election, senior U.S. intelligence officials told NBC News.
Two senior officials with direct access to the information say new intelligence shows that Putin personally directed how hacked material from Democrats was leaked and otherwise used. The intelligence came from diplomatic sources and spies working for U.S. allies, the officials said.
Putin’s objectives were multifaceted, a high-level intelligence source told NBC News. What began as a “vendetta” against Hillary Clinton morphed into an effort to show corruption in American politics and to “split off key American allies by creating the image that [other countries] couldn’t depend on the U.S. to be a credible global leader anymore,” the official said.

I heard that a high level intelligence source believes that the Russians have all of Hillary Clinton’s deleted emails, all 33,000 of them, and have been keeping them to use in extorting from Clinton policies that favor them. That they are playing the long game here in regards to Clinton. The plan all along, from what I’ve heard, is that the Russians wanted to put Hillary in office, but knew that in order to do so that they would have to get Trump elected first, using nefarious tactics….
It was brilliant in it’s sophisticated simplicity, once Trump had won the electoral college, but had lost the popular vote, they could then begin the second phase of the operation to elect Hillary…

Only problem is, Hillary lost, republicans control electoral college, they won’t vote for Hillary. Odds are that if tRump is eliminated it will go to a different republican. The best the dems can do is steer that choice toward an acceptable republican.

I can understand not giving a briefing on it to electors as most probably don’t have the clearance to view it, but, I’m wondering why the CIA won’t brief congressional critters on it.
