Nestle says it can halve sugar by 40%.

Chief Technology Officer Stefan Catsicas has developed a process to alter the structure of sugar that makes it taste sweeter in smaller amounts, according to its Chief Technology Officer Stefan Catsicas.

He said Nestle is due to start selling its confectionery products using the new process in 2018 and will gradually reduce its sugar content.

“We want people to get used to a different taste, a taste that would be more natural,” Mr Catsicas said.

“We really want to be the drivers of the solution.”

I wonder if Catsicas ever worked for Coca-Cola. He might do well to learn from their experience with “New Coke.” It goes something like: Never screw with a winning gameplan, dunce!
