Trump HHS pick wants to phase out Medicare

It’s one of the most popular programs, and yet Republicans want to destroy it.

Price, an orthopedic surgeon and Budget Committee Chair in the outgoing Congress, is an arch-critic of ‘Obamacare’ and a top supporter of Speaker Paul Ryan’s plan to phase out Medicare and replace it with private insurance and vouchers.

On November 17th, when TPM asked Price about his timeline for moving Medicare phaseout legislation in the next Congress, Price said he did not believe it would be in the first legislation Trump and the Republican Congress would tackle in the Spring. He said he expected it would come mid-year in the second phase of the budget reconciliation process. “I think that is probably in the second phase of reconciliation, which would have to be in the FY 18 budget resolution in the first 6-8 months,” Price told TPM.

Yeah, he needs a little time to scam the moron and chief into backing this idea so it will take a couple weeks and won’t be the first item on the agenda. I hope they begin taking away medicare right now and not put it off for future generations. The old hags who voted for this damn mess need to feel the pain the rest of us feel. I am tired of this “phase out” BS they do. All that does is put off the pain to the kids, the ones who COULD NOT vote are the ones who have to deal with the aftermath the old SOB’s insist is good for America.

Hopefully America will finally realize the GOP is bad for America and will start to phase them out.
