Trump: I really like Obama

Posted by | November 22, 2016 20:58 | Filed under: Politics

All it took was meeting him, after months of lambasting him.

After lambasting Obama for months as a failed leader unfit to be president, the Republican president-elect found kinder words on Tuesday for the man he will succeed in the White House on Jan. 20.

“I didn’t know if I’d like him. I probably thought that maybe I wouldn’t, but I did. I really enjoyed him a lot,” Trump said in an interview with the New York Times.

Obama, a Democrat, met with Trump at the Oval Office on Nov. 10, two days after the presidential election. White House spokesman Josh Earnest said earlier on Tuesday the two had spoken again since then, citing Obama’s commitment to a smooth transfer of power, but offered no other details.

“I had a great meeting with President Obama,” Trump told the Times. “I really liked him a lot.”

hey Suzanne….In my struggles for retaining my sanity these days, I use photography to calm down…you already know that…so in celebration of my newly opened bunker, here is the view…I worked very hard on this panorama…the lighting was tricky…but my doggies just told me to shut up and take the damn picture, and let’s get on with the walk…I love my doggies…they are so smart…

    So, let’s review.
After meeting and talking with Obama for about an hour, he now likes him and wants his advice like a mentor
The election is over now he says he respects what Hillary went through, thinks she has grit and courage and no longer going to throw her in jail.
He isn’t talking about a wall anymore.
He sees the need for a climate change pact with the rest of the world.
He knows Ford isn’t moving to Mexico and never was.
Probably not searching out and deporting anyone.
Keeping most or eventually all of Obamacare.

He still has to stop the Dakota pipeline, raise the minimum wage and regulate the runaway costs of college education. I guess we’ll stay tuned.

Moral of the story, go hang out with someone who is a different color, culture and back ground, you may learn something. Easy stuff people. That should be a requirement before you become a citizen.

He said what he had to in order to get in the White House, that his wife and son don’t even want to stay at the White House!

better believe he did. a wealthy white racist asking a black man, who is POTUS, even though he believes black people are beneath him, is asking for help from a black man 10 x’s intelligent than himself. i fk’n love it!

  7. Carla Akins November 23rd, 2016 at 05:02

Who wouldn’t? Have you seen or listened to the man? He’s damned delightful.

    • whatthe46 November 23rd, 2016 at 06:04

CARLLLA! i’m gonna be sick the next 4 years if the EC doesn’t pull through or if other states are not audited. WI is being audited and have found some serious problems. i want him to stay PRESIDENT until after all has been cleared. even if it takes 4 more years. i’m sooooooo going to miss him and his family.

      • Carla Akins November 23rd, 2016 at 15:14

Unfortunately the elction is a done deal – however the real hard work has just begun. We absolutely must turn the tide at the 2018 midterms. As FLOTUS urged us, we must go high. If for no other reason than out of respect for the example the Obama’s have set, and it’s a high bar indeed.

I may not have agreed with every stance Obama took during his reign but I have NEVER doubted his intent and his integrity. I believe he loves his wife and is involved in his children’s lives. I believe he sees public service both an honor and an obligation, placing the good of all before personal gain, an empathetic man with a sense of humor and a full-fledged baby whisperer.

He didn’t just set an example for black presidents but all future office holders. I was and am proud to call him President but our process calls for an end to his time as our leader and he’s entitled to a well-deserved rest. It’s our job to uphold his ideals, expectations and hope, it’s our job to demand the same from our elected officials – all of them – from the country recorder to the President.

No denying the next four years are likely to be unmitigated disaster, it’s our duty to lessen the fallout…….just like Obama would do.
