Conservatives claim Starbucks’ ‘Unity Cup’ shows liberal bias
Even a cup that says “Unity” is somehow a way for Starbucks to signal it’s liberal, say conservatives who see a conspiracy under every cup.
Starbucks says it’s a “Unity Cup” and is supposed to show we’re all connected with more than 100 people drawn with one continuous line on the side of the cup.
But some don’t think the cup is very unifying, claiming it shows a Liberal bias.
One person tweeted: “My coffee should not (and does not) come with political brainwashing. I dropped @starbucks like a hot rock.”
Another wrote: “All Republicans boycott Starbucks.”
…Starbucks came out with the cups on Tuesday, one week before Election Day.
CEO Howard Schultz said in a statement: “During a divisive time in our country, Starbucks wanted to create a symbol of unity as a reminder of our shared values, and the need to be good to each other.”
Some criticized the cup, thinking it was the new holiday cup, but photos have leaked out on social media that show another cup to debut later.
It was last year, when Starbucks faced criticism for its plain red cup not being festive enough. A former pastor in Arizona called for a boycott, and Donald Trump weighed in, too: “Maybe we should boycott Starbucks? I don’t know.”

An entire “news” network with conservative bias is OK. A vast, untaxed, unregulated “religious” organization with clear conservative bias is OK. A heavily funded ammosexual support organization with conservative bias is OK. But a coffee cup that doesn’t deliver a message of hate is evil, liberal propaganda?

This just another example of Starbucks jumping on the “War on Christmas” band wagon! They know NOTHING about the bible. If they did, they’d knows that Jesus would NEVER condone things like “unity” and “shared values”. And he would definitely not support being “good to each other”. not everyone is hell bent on dropping their old religious beliefs and converting to the conservative christians new orange colored savior’s teachings that we MUST grab women by the p*ssy to obtain salvation.
I’m pretty perplexed by that teaching myself. Seems like the woman is being denied the opportunity to NOT have her p*ssy grabbed if she doesn’t want to be a part of that religious concept.
I’ve no doubt that their orange savior studies the holy scriptures 28 hours a day, 10 days a week, probably nobody studies the holy scriptures more than their orange savior, so no one would know the holy scriptures better than him, but I just can’t bring myself to believe that plan of salvation – even when the orange savior says “believe me”!
