NC Republican Party office firebombed

Posted by | October 16, 2016 15:40 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

There was major destruction.

Authorities said the explosive device was thrown through the window of the office, and the words, “Nazi Republicans, leave town or else,” were painted on a nearby building.

“Whether you are Republican, Democrat, or Independent, all Americans should be outraged by this hate-filled and violent attack against our democracy,” said Dallas Woodhouse, executive director of the North Carolina Republican Party in a written statement, released on Sunday. “Whether the bomb was meant to kill, destroy property, or intimidate voters, everyone in this country should be free to express their political viewpoints without fear for their own safety. We will be requesting additional security at all Republican Party offices and events between now and Election Day to ensure the safety of our activists, volunteers, and supporters.”

To the republican party: we will be “outraged” as soon as you start calling out your candidate for his hate speech.

    • granpa.usthai October 16th, 2016 at 19:15

why the hell be outraged if they want to firebomb their own buildings?

  2. crc3 October 16th, 2016 at 16:16

Repulsives should practice what they preach like NOT having a candidate (Rump) who incites violence….

  3. anothertoothpick October 16th, 2016 at 16:28

The cops should check the local trump dummies for evidence.

“Whether you are Republican, Democrat, or Independent, all Americans should be outraged by this hate-filled and violent attack against our democracy,”

Which is how everyone should feel about the Trump campaign.

    • granpa.usthai October 16th, 2016 at 19:13

I’m sure the ‘revolution talk’ was just a bunch more of the locker room christian p*ssy grabbing stuff’ – which is why donald should recall his Hawaiian investigators so they can try to spin this on GRANDMA HONEST HILLARY.

  5. Landscapegoat October 16th, 2016 at 16:45

Let me give you the Alex Jones-Rush Limpball response… False flag! False flag! Paid actors! Lame stream media! …it never happened folks. Next!

  6. Jungle_Bhoy October 16th, 2016 at 16:49

Hmm – does the torching of the Reichstag by the Nazis come to mind or the Gleiwitz Operation enacted by Nazis dressed as Poles to create a precedent for invading Poland – just sayin’..very, very suspicious……

    • Budda October 16th, 2016 at 16:50

unfortunately, I thought the same thing.

    • KABoink_after_wingnut_hacker October 16th, 2016 at 17:34

This has rightwing fanatical fingerprints all over it. From the Alex Jones “false flag” playbook to the vast experience wingnuts have in bombing buildings in the south.
This is most probably a deliberately self inflicted rallying call to white supremacists who always feel victimized.

      • granpa.usthai October 16th, 2016 at 19:17

just another attempt to sidestep donald’s p*ssy grabbing is all.

    • (((John_St_John))) October 16th, 2016 at 19:40

You are not alone in your suspicions.

    • fahvel October 17th, 2016 at 03:30

no problems with your examples at all – they’re good but don’t forget the so called tea party in a town called boston.

  7. anothertoothpick October 16th, 2016 at 16:59

As you can see, there were no spelling errors, which would rule Democrats out as suspects.

  8. Larry Schmitt October 16th, 2016 at 17:27

Maybe they wanted only the Nazi Republicans to leave town. So this was done by the sensible wing of the Republicans.

    • Tommie October 16th, 2016 at 19:03

Those kind of republicans are hard to find! Haha!

      • Larry Schmitt October 16th, 2016 at 19:15

They don’t actually exist. It was a fantasy post.

        • granpa.usthai October 16th, 2016 at 19:22

John McCain actually became sensible when un-endorsing donald, even if he doesn’t meet the expectations of the not so brave p*ssy that grabs what he wants COWARD.

      Above, I guessed Roger Stone.
He was running Trump’s campaign, quit and then returned.
Stone got his start with Nixon’s CREEP.
Stone was the guy who gave the bogus George W. Bush National Guard documents to Dan Rather.

  10. Gina Bousquet October 16th, 2016 at 18:05

Why do I believe they did it. Themselves.

    • fahvel October 17th, 2016 at 03:29

because we from far away places see the usa, at times, more clearly than the denizens already in place.

      • Gina Bousquet October 17th, 2016 at 12:48

Hi friend! I believe progressives know it too… :)

  11. Larry Schmitt October 16th, 2016 at 19:20

A few comments (sorted by “best!”) from Infowars, Alex Jones’ site. It didn’t take long to get to “false flag.”

Wow, good job, morons who did this! You just made sure that more people will vote for Trump.

    PantsOnFire Donald Epic.Crusader • 4 minutes ago
Yeah, that’s how we know it was a FALSE FLAG attack.

    • granpa.usthai October 16th, 2016 at 19:27

I don’t think Hillary will be ‘robbing the working man’ just to give billions to a sleaze bag tiny handed money grubbing loser p*ssy grabbing COWARD like trump just because the RepubliCON controlled Congress will demand her to.

  12. (((John_St_John))) October 16th, 2016 at 19:38

I do not care how you feel about the Republicans, this is not how to deal with them. Though I also cannot and will not dismiss the possibility of this being a Trump supporter orchestrated ‘false flag’ operation until proven otherwise. They love claiming everything else that happens in these United States is, so why not create one.

    • whatthe46 October 16th, 2016 at 22:04

don’t be shocked to find out that it may have been a tRump supporter. remember charles manson?

      • burqa October 17th, 2016 at 00:09

I recall a couple of his female followers who tried to kill Republican President Gerald Ford.

I think we should respond the same way whether the perpetrator is a leftie or a rightie, and whether the target is a Republican Party office or a Democratic Party office.
I think we should do likewise with extreme talk, regardless of the target or politics of the speaker.

        • whatthe46 October 17th, 2016 at 00:33

don’t be shocked if it was a tRump supporter. there, i said it again.

  13. William October 16th, 2016 at 21:51

Suddenly the marmalade moron and his minions are shocked and dismayed at senseless violence.

Nice photo of Trump pretending to shoot a pistol.
      Note the short index finger.
Obviously he is pretending to shoot a snub-nosed revolver…..

  14. robert October 16th, 2016 at 23:13

    NC act of violence?

It reminds me of a destructive riot after cops told a motorist to drop his gun.

    Democrats to blame? I don’t think so…

  15. Foundryman October 16th, 2016 at 23:24

This was done in a state trending for Hillary, that is a must win for Trump, and now he wastes no time in trying to make the Democrats look bad.
To much of a coincidence, this has Trump cooties all over it.

    • whatthe46 October 16th, 2016 at 23:24

i believe that to be true as well.

    • dogsRgoodpeople October 16th, 2016 at 23:35

I have to believe the FBI agent in charge of this matter will be thinking along those lines.

    • burqa October 17th, 2016 at 00:03

Yeah, that was my first reaction. The spray-painted message seemed to be an example of trying to be too clever by half. Above I speculated that this smells like Roger Stone. If not him, then someone else on the Right who sees defeat looming.

But what if it isn’t a rightie?
What if it turns out to be a leftie responding to the extreme rhetoric occasionally seen, and often tolerated by the Left? If that isn’t the case this time, it will be at some time in the future.
I think we should respond the same way we would if it was a Democratic Party office. In the meantime, I think we need to self-police more, and speak up when we see or read extreme talk from a leftie that we would object to if it came from a rightie.

  16. burqa October 16th, 2016 at 23:57

    Smells like Roger Stone.

If not, and if it is one or more liberals responsible, I hope they not only get prosecuted, but the judge makes an example out of them.
For far too long extreme rhetoric has been tolerated by the Left, just as long as the target is someone on the Right.
Some on the Left see the sickness coming from Tea Party types and appear to think the way to respond is to copy behavior we deplore.
We have seen Righties predictably respond to Trumps calls for assaults on Leftie demonstrators at his rallies. Human nature spans political ideologies, so we are susceptible to the same suggestions, especially when the crowd on the Left laughs along with those of us who use violent rhetoric, or remain silent when they hear or read it.

I think we should strive to give the Right a monopoly on hate, bigotry and violent rhetoric.

  17. bpollen October 17th, 2016 at 00:49

I should point out that Democrats started a GoFundMe page to raise funds to repair the damage so the Republicans can return.

Once again, Dems show that Trump has NO class.

  18. fahvel October 17th, 2016 at 03:25

am I alone in thinking, Münchhausen Disease? It’s a perfect rumpisme.
