John Murphy was a cohost of a talk radio show on WAYY on AM 790 and FM 105.1 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. I said he was one because on Thursday, the hateful, over the top rhetoric surrounding politics this year, especially regarding the presidential race, was too much for him, and he quit on air with…

    PALM BEACH

    PALM BEACH
Mindy McGillivray of Palm Springs said she is planning to leave the United States because she fears for her family’s safety since she publicly accused Donald Trump earlier this week of groping her in 2003.

Reminding me of The Satanic Verses controversy.

There have been very recent reports out, stating that a majority of americans are stressed out to the max over this years election, and what it’s doing to this country.I feel it myself. In almost 65 years of living on this planet of madness,I’ve never seen anything like this, and have begun to feel that, however the election turns out(most likely Hillary) it will not end up well. Our nation is at a breaking point, and our system imploding.Hopefully I’m wrong, but that’s what I perceive.

I believe the only difference we’re seeing now in election politics is the result of the internet and cable TV and 24-hour “news.” We hear about everything almost immediately. Back in the day we didn’t hear anything except for what Walter Cronkite mentioned on the Six O’Clock News.

People have always been vicious stooges. The Mongol Conquests from 800 years ago probably killed just as many people as World War II.

Those are excellent points.Voltaire once said,”mankind has always been cutting one another’s throats” I think your right,it’s just the instant communication abilities that now makes the sharing of stress a simultaneous experience. One of the down sides to all this advancement in technology. What you said makes me think, what would have been like with Internet and 24 hour news back in Ancient Rome.I can think of some great Saturday night live skits for that meme, but I’ll keep it serious, because it really isn’t very funny what societies are doing to each other.

Funny you mention Rome because two quotes from the ancients immediately come to mind, and I forget the sources, but they go something like this: 1) The young of today (2000 years ago) are absolutely horrible, lazy, ill-mannered, and worthless, and, 2) Corruption greases the wheel of civilization. So clearly throughout all times and places young people have been regarded as awful and governments were seen as corrupt.

            I rest my case. :^)

He can apply at the Menards corporate HQ where even the executives have to punch a clock.

I guess that’s not saying much about Eau Claire WI.

Personally, I’m delighted with the way things are going. In fact I’d like to thank all the rank-and-file republicans who nominated Trump for president. They’ve done a great service for our nation by picking a candidate so fundamentally unfit for office that even a great many leading republicans can’t stomach the guy.

You must have a closed head injury. Trump will show to be one of our greatest presidents. He will undo all the damage Osama Obama has done to this country!
