Yes, let’s have some common sense. Oh wait, we can’t have that, we are America, where it is more fun to put people down and keep them beaten down.

    What about prescription drugs?

Do we get rid of that system, too?

Or do we make street drugs legal but still require a prescription for legal drugs?

I’m not being argumentative – it’s something I wonder about every time Alan advocates for legalizing all drugs.

Why not prescription drugs …? Like Mexico and a number of other countries….complete freedom to choose sounds scary at first but has a way of finding level.
I still believe anyone who would prescribe themselves a drug has a fool for a patient, just like trying to be your own attorney … it just never seems to work out well.

are there any drugs from the pharma industry that do not duplicate all the so called illicit drugs which, I believe, are also a bit less expensive?

My only fear would be society abusing antibiotics and causing some type of superbug down the road.

With all the new drugs being made now that carry a litany of potential bad side effects for certain people, which BTW are legal but could still KILL you,
can anyone explain to me why Illegal drugs are soooo bad.

The entire drug war has been a failure. Are they so afraid they won’t have anyone to put in their for profit cages that they need to keep filling them with criminals who are not criminals.A crime is that which harms the person or property of another.Period! Why is it any governments business what its citizens ingest? Why especially is cannabis,a proven medicinal plant, still regarded as a schedule 1 substance, which in part is a schedule that declare”having no known medicinal use.”
We have recently won the first phase in a battle to keep the medicinal herb, kratom legal. They wanted to take yet another harmless plant away from the people, and classify a medicinal herb as schedule 1,having no medicinal use.Big Bubba would have asked the new inmates,”what are you in for?”and the new “criminals” would have answered,”I’m in for drinking kratom tea!” Doing 5 to 10 in a filthy inhumane GD cage, for drinking tea that eases pain!
This madness needs to end,and it needs to end now! This drug war in what is supposed to be a democracy,is illegal, counterproductive, inhumane, and corrupt. Those at the top know damn well that what they are doing is wrong, but they can’t seem to control themselves. The people in overwhelming numbers responded,to keep kratom legal, and they listened, for the time being anyhow.Even many politicians spoke up for the people, and they listened.Citizens of our so called democracy, have had their lives ruined for smoking a flower, and we in our apathy have allowed it to be.They came for my neighbors garden, and I did nothing. Then they came for my beer, and I got really mad!
My friends it is time for us all,to speak out, against this madness that has made criminals out of non-criminals.If we continue to allow it and say nothing, they will continue to do it,as long as it is profitable.
