Trump supporter arrested for threatening to beat black woman

He told her, “Trump is going to win and if you don’t like it I’m going to beat your ass.” This happened outside a ShipRite in upstate New York.

Todd Warnken, 55, was asked to leave the store after “being disruptive inside,” Albany police spokesman Steve Smith told the newspaper.

On his way out, Warnken allegedly harassed a black woman waiting for a taxi, calling her a racial slur and threatening her physically.

“Trump is going to win and if you don’t like it I’m going to beat your ass,” he yelled, according to Smith.

Warnken was arrested near the grocery store and charged with misdemeanor aggravated harassment, the newspaper reported.

In other words, he was charged with nothing and will probably do it again, carrying a gun.

Poster steviedee111 over at TPM put it best:

If Trump loses you’ll see a lot of such anger unleashed, with minorities and non-Christians targeted for abuse and assault.

If Trump wins you’ll see a lot of such anger unleashed, with minorities and non-Christians targeted for abuse and assault.

Wow, tough guy. He should say that to any guy, but it would be more interesting if he does it to a black guy his size. Won’t that be a true measure of his tough, abusive guy attitude?

I would pay to see this guy’s ass kick real hard!

Didn’t read all the posts before I made my comment.

As I peruse the net…I keep seeing and hearing really crazy talk…Growing up, my sister was institutionalize for a few years…We visited regularly, and as an impressionable kid, I would look around and be scared…the folks who were institutionalized with my poor sis, sounded more grounded in reality, than the republican party sounds right now…I feel as though I am living in this same Mental Facility surrounded by the insane…I know Ronald Reagan started this trend, and now we are seeing the full on repercussions of closing these same institutions…the GOP is loaded down with these folks who really need attention by professionals….

      No joke.

The solid logic behind articles like this one:

-John Wilkes Booth was an actor
-John Wilkes Booth killed a President.
-ERGO actors are likely to kill Presidents.

      /sarc— just in case

      • Hirightnow October 12th, 2016 at 17:35

        Correlation does not imply causation.
(But in the case of Trump supporters, I’m not so sure…)

        • bpollen October 13th, 2016 at 03:45

Nuh-uh! Correlation does TO imply causation! But this is only true in the Alex Jones Congregation, praise the Holy Amphetamines!

        • Fred Beloit October 13th, 2016 at 16:11

Do you know what the “/sarc” means? In this case it means I am making fun of a fallacious syllogism.

This article at alan, com aims to smear Trump because of the actions of someone who purports to support Trump. That is risible.

Cyute use of big words in order to avoid the obvious.
In one sense, you are correct that Trump can not be held responsible for the actions of a supporter. That would be true in a vacuum and also in court were the woman to attempt to sue Trump.
On the other hand, on multiple occasions Trump has encouraged his followers to assault those with opinions contrary to Trump’s. He has never taken those statements back, either.
So this kind of behavior is predictable, given the large number of Trump supporters who will make excuses for attacks on former POWs, invitations to the Russians to hack our government files, and misogyny.
What makes it even more objectionable is Trump is able to encourage people to assault others without being held responsible for the result of his words of encouragement.

Oh, and I liked the “who purports to support Trump,” – bit.
As if there is any question about it.

Heh heh, you get to suffer from now till Election Day, watching your boy sink below the waves, carrying with him a number of GOP contenders in other races across the country.
The flailing has just begun, providing rich entertainment.
After the election the real civil war within the GOP will get underway with the Trumpkins getting the blame for not only all the losses, but for having to deal with President Hillary filling vacancies on the Supreme Court and federal benches elsewhere in America.
In time the Trumpkins will be hated within the GOP more than Hillary because of the damage they are doing to a party once known for its discipline.

“On the other hand, on multiple occasions Trump has encouraged his followers to assault those with opinions contrary to Trump’s.”

              What multiple occasions?

            • Fred Beloit October 14th, 2016 at 13:30

“What makes it even more objectionable is Trump is able to encourage people to assault others without being held responsible for the result of his words of encouragement.”

Law enforcement is busy with other important matters [see Comey’s
carefully worded excuse for not recommending a grand jury for Hilltops for her illegal gross carelessness concerning the protection of Government secrets.]

            • Fred Beloit October 14th, 2016 at 13:32

              By the way: burqa this.

      • burqa October 13th, 2016 at 17:07

        Try this:
Trump encouraged his supporters to assault those with other views and one of Trump’s supporters did what Trump told him to do.
        p→q, q→r,
        p→r.

I’m sure there are black men he could have made that comment to. Oh wait, he’s a coward.

  8. StoneyCurtisll October 12th, 2016 at 14:55

Such a charming basket of Trump followers…
I’m going to guess it is more than 1/2 who are deplorable.

    Deplorables

  10. burqa October 13th, 2016 at 17:08
