No Fortune 100 CEOs back Trump

This is unusual for a Republican candidate.

“No chief executive at the nation’s 100 largest companies had donated to Republican Donald Trump’s presidential campaign through August, a sharp reversal from 2012, when nearly a third of the CEOs of Fortune 100 companies supported GOP nominee Mitt Romney,” the Wall Street Journal reports.

Showing big business has a trace of a scruple

    • bpollen September 24th, 2016 at 02:24

I disagree. I think it shows that they think Trump will be bad for business. Or at least worse than Clinton will. They think in terms of either what will best contribute to the bottom line for the company, or what will allow them to suck as much blood from the company as possible.

Exactly, it’s not about scruples. Smart rich guys know that Trump’s economic policies are disastrous. (not to mention idiotic.)

    Surprise surprise!
Trump has commandeered morons of the republican base who’ve always been gullible enough to vote against their own interests.
Wealthy republicans, who routinely exploit the ignorant rightwing base understand the danger that Trump poses for our country.
Hicks who support Trump don’t have a clue.

Which would mean that those busy little hands lost him about $5 billion. At this rate, this successful businessman will die in poverty… but at least he’ll still have his paintings.

      • Larry Schmitt September 24th, 2016 at 03:43

No, the paintings will have been confiscated by the IRS, and they’ll end up on eBay.

        • bpollen September 24th, 2016 at 03:49

Maybe not… the GOP is trying to kneecap the IRS.

          • Larry Schmitt September 24th, 2016 at 07:02

But without a Republican in the White House, it would be a lot harder.

Trump can’t be bought. Donors own Hillary.

    • Budda September 24th, 2016 at 07:15

Donnie is OWNED by the Russians. Hillary doesn’t owe anybody anything.

Of course if he released his taxes we would know for sure, wouldn’t we?

    • Mensa Member September 24th, 2016 at 19:34

      >> Trump can’t be bought.

Do you seriously not know that Trump is taking donors’ money bigly?

  7. Mensa Member September 24th, 2016 at 19:31

Wow, millionaires hate Trump even more than African Americans.

This is one strange election year.
