Trump to play it safe when he visits black Detroit church
He won’t address a black audience, as was suggested. Rather, he’ll attend a church service and then be interviewed by the pastor one-on-one.
Click here for reuse options!When Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump comes to Detroit this weekend to try to strengthen his standing in the African-American community, he will be attending a service at a church and doing a one-on-one interview with the congregation’s leader, Bishop Wayne T. Jackson.
That’s about it.
Trump won’t be speaking to the black congregation at Great Faith Ministries International during the 11 a.m. service. And his Saturday interview with Jackson on the church’s Impact Network — which will not be open to the public or the news media — won’t air for at least a week after the event.

He is making a joke of this entire thing. First it’s Labor Day Weekend. Second he’s not making a speech in front of the AfAm Community like the ones he has been making for weeks now about AfAm’s in front of predominately White audiences. Third It will not be open to the public, the interview i mean, and therefore how do we know his answers are not rehearsed. It’s a sham and this pastor should be ashamed of allowing his church be used in this manner.

You took the words… And I especially want to bitch slap this “reverend” for agreeing to even entertain the idea of a closed door meeting. It’s as if he doesn’t know who or what tRump is about. He will leave this meeting hit Twitter with a boat load of lies about how this “pastor” is very supportive of him and whatever else he decides to spew as fact and shines favor on him, when the complete opposite is true! And this “pastor” does not have the same mechanism that tRump has. He won’t be able to call into fox lies and argue they should allow him to make the record clear that he didn’t tell tRump he would support him. And furthermore, tRump is a massive racist pos, who doesn’t know how to talk to black people, only at them or about them. He’s not making a speech because that would mean to civilly engage with the same people he tells his white crowds to attack. Fk him and that rat bastard “pastor!”

Yup.
Nothing but canned responses, and rather mealy-mouthed ones, IMO.
I understand the teachings of the New Testament, and some of them are worth abiding, but the whole “giving him a chance” spiel is like saying “Let’s let the rabid wolverine have his say, instead of immediately trying to destroy it” when it comes to Trump.
My two cents, redeemable for face value at any local bank or comic book emporium.

At this point, I hardly need to look at the keyboard, because I do it so often.
(I speak with emphasis and nuance, so I like to type that way. Only, ALL CAPS IS ANNOYING, so when I learned years ago that some HTML tags aren’t just for building a web page, I latched on to it. )

You might look into it; there are oodles of places you can get free web hosting, and almost as many programs to help you write such a page. When you compose such a site, then look at the code that your browser (and the server) actually see, you learn a lot.

every time i read the headline, i get more and more angry with this p.o.s. and i’m not talking about the orange p.o.s. but the Mexican pres that allowed that meeting to happen was stupid and was being used. and this “bishop” is allowing him to also be used. tRump can’t stand minorities especially those of brown skin. when he was talking about shooting someone in broad day light and still get votes, he wasn’t referring to white people, he was referring to people of color or a certain religion. if JESUS CHRIST came before me and said listen to what he has to say, i rather DIE!
