Man who helped create 36 children admits ‘fraud’ at sperm bank

He wasn’t all that he said he was.

James Aggeles, a Georgia man, walked into a police station and confessed to committing “fraud” at a sperm bank, according to a police report obtained by LawNewz.com. He wanted to “turn himself in.” Aggeles told the officer that he was not truthful about his mental health and his college degree status when he went to Xytex, an Atlanta, Georgia clinic to donate sperm. This comes just months after several parents filed a lawsuit against the sperm bank claiming they were fooled by Aggeles’ “lies.” According to the suit, he helped to create 36 children — 17 girls and 19 boys.

A Toronto Star investigation confirmed that he had actually been diagnosed with mental illness including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and narcissistic personality disorder.  He had also reportedly been arrested for one count of burglary in 2005. And, never attended college.

“It was like a dream turned nightmare in an instant,” Angie Collins, a plaintiff in the lawsuit, told the Toronto Star.

This sperm bank was seriously neglectful. I am wondering though, is this tRump’s brother from another mother. They both have the same damn disorder. Why on earth didn’t they do a simple fricken background check? The easiest to prove is the college degree. As for whether or not he is mentally stable, one he can sign a medical release or be examined by a psychologist. Seriously. LORD knows what in the hell this scum has created.

One of those times you hope nurture has it over nature. I hope the parents don’t take out their disgust on the children. If the sperm bank is this slipshod I hope they are soon out of business.

These parents went through a great deal to have their children. And they are the bio child of the mother, so I really want to believe that they will love the child as much as when it was loved growing in her belly. Makes you wonder how many of these children have been affected by this real and true biological illiness. He needs his ass kicked.

Yes he does. I believe both schizophrenia and bipolar disorder are inheritable disorders so some (if not all) of these children will most likely be affected. I hope whatever he ends up charged with carries a very long prison sentence. I agree with you, he is SCUM. If the sperm bank had even checked his educational background (as you said, easy enough to check) and found he lied about that, would they have accepted him as a donor?

given the education that he lied about, they were likely thrilled because i’m sure that’s a major part of choosing these men. they want their children to have inherited a “gifted” trait, for lack of a better word. some look for those who are musically gifted. they to can be a gift. my father was a musician, my brother is, my son who passed was, my husband was, and my youngest son is. me, it’s art, as my grandmother was an artist, my great cousin who passed was a professor and well renowned artist (Ruth McCrane). so, if they had done their homework, they would have learned he was a fraud and spared these families this awful position to be in.

With the Vast number of possible donors out there, why do they pick off the bottom of the barrel ?

He probably created more mentally deficient Republicans and for that he needs to be imprisoned for LIFE.

I thought you would like that one. Many years ago,I had an operation to change ME from a Production model to a Sports model. Had a lot of fun with that for some time. I must have wore it out though. :+(

I tend to believe that if one does not have the necessary parts or juices to reproduce, it means they should not reproduce for the benefit of evolutionary success.
