Mathematically, it was almost a given the suspect would be dark skinned. The outer boroughs are predominantly minorities.
I’m interested in what makes a person walk up behind two people he doesn’t know and gun them down in cold blood.
It just seems insane to me … Maybe I’m looking for logic where none exists

Unfortunately, logic so rarely plays into this kind of behavior. I think of Eric Rudolph, the bomber – he had a reason but he was still batshit crazy.

Looking at his photo, it’s hard to guess at his ethnicity. He doesn’t look northern European but who knows?
But, whether this specific instance is radical Christian terrorism or not, Trump and conservative anti-Muslim rhetoric is going to get people murdered. It already has.
