More than 100 Republicans ask RNC to stop funding Trump in open letter

Support for Trump among Republicans keeps falling.

More than 100 Republicans have signed the final draft of a letter to be sent Tuesday urging Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus to shift resources away from Donald Trump.

Among the letter’s 123 signees are two current members of Congress, Rep. Scott Rigell (R-VA) and Rep. Reid Ribble (R-WI), and 27 former RNC staffers.

The letter urges Priebus to “immediately suspend all discretionary RNC support for Trump” and instead allocate resources to House and Senate races in order to “save the Republican Party.”

No sense in giving medicine to a dead patient.

Save the republican party? Really? Now with a whole 83 days left before we vote? I hope we clean house and the republican party has to build back without the church and 1% clinging to the party in hopes of gaining power.

Cognitive Dissonance is genetic with Gopers, they are no longer reasonable nor sentient beings:

Reminds me of a tweet I saw on the subject of #KatrinaPeirsonHistory:

Obama was that guy in the Donner party who said “More Steve, anyone?”

Sweet! Let the big mouth con-man spend his own money like he’s been bragging that he’s self funding.

I’ve been wondering about that too.

      All that billionaire bragging.

I have a feeling trump is actually making money off this campaign.

Even if he loses money, he declares it on his tax return to offset any actual income, so we end up paying for it in the end.

I hope they divert funds and still lose Congress. I hope the Repulsive party collapses as a result. Hope springs eternal…

Oh, no! You created him, you fund him! Don’t try to weasel out funding him so you can save your other candidates!

You repubs only have yourselves to blame, all your
obstructionism, hate and rhetoric feeding your base
created the environment that made Trump possible,
you own Trump and now you can’t get away from
him, congratulations guys, we on the left are enjoying
this dumpster fire you have created.
