An Imam was shot in the head and another man shot in the chest after Saturday prayers at an Ozone Park, NY mosque.

The gunshots rang out near the Al-Furqan Jame Masjid Mosque in Ozone Park, leaving both victims lying on the ground in their own blood, according to witnesses.

Authorities said their injuries were life-threatening. The imam was reportedly shot in the head, and the other victim in the chest.

“All of a sudden I heard five shots,” said one witness, who declined to give his name. “I knew it wasn’t firecrackers. And then the commotion of the emergency (vehicles), and that’s when I knew.

I read the story from the link and it seems nothing is known, hard to have an opinion at this point. I hope I am not offending anyone when I say my prayers are for those who attend this Mosque.

This is America, you can pray for anyone you want to! If someone has a problem with that they can go to hell!

Some people here will judge you but I don’t know anyone who is offended by prayer.

I, myself, am a devout Christian and I pray for all kinds of people — not just Christians.

That is what all true believers do, they have love for everyone.

          I try to be.

And I don’t treat prayer like some sort of magic or spell. If I pray for my atheist friends, I don’t pray that they will start believing in God or get religion. I just send them good vibes and well wishes.

I would never pray for anyone to believe. I just pray for my angels to watch over my loved ones. I believe God is accepting of all our beliefs and we are judged by how we treat others rather than who prayed or preached the Bible the most.

This is sad beyond words.Just as there is a certain element that gets fired up with jihad radical ideology and take it the point of violence, there are also many who take the radical right haters ideology and take it to the point of this type of senseless violence. It is to early to tell as you say,but I would think Trumps incitements that appeal to the unstable may be a factor in this case.

I am hoping no one gave his words this kind of power.

It’s too early to know if this is Christian terrorism or not.

But, I do know this — the Republican rhetoric is going to get some people murdered.
