Donald Trump accused President Barack Obama on Wednesday of founding the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant group (ISIL, also known as ISIS) that is wreaking havoc from the Middle East to European cities. A moment later, on another topic, he emphasised the president’s full legal name: Barack Hussein Obama. “In many respects, you know,…

Right, and ‘some people say’ that Trump is a member of NAMBLA

If enough people say it, some people start to believe it. How else do you explain the Trump campaign in the first place?

Indeed, the most frequently used right-wing tactic. (cue Faux & Frauds, and their ever-angry base), then add an overwhelming dose of pure demagoguery to shout-down reason & facts and replace them with fear & loathing. I always worried that the entire concept of ‘Reality-TV’ would result in the dumbing-down of those without an actual life, who are drawn to it’s phony carnival magic. It’s a con, pure & simple, and The Donald is the consummate con-artist to the willfully-misinformed!

Fox has made a fortune with that “some people say” line. Could you imagine their response if another network used your line?

He says this crap without providing any actual facts to prove there’s a link between the president and ISIS. Anyone can make any baseless claims they care to. Alex Jones does it all day long. Budda just did it, and his claim has as much validity.

Wonder how Trump will respond to Mark Foley sitting right behind him with a big smile on his face.

      • mistlesuede August 11th, 2016 at 11:34

He won’t need to respond because no one will ask him about it.

Actually, The timetable for withdrawal was set by the Bush administration.
The Iraqi parliament refused to pass a SOFA that would let US troops stay in the country and be immune from legal action and prosecution.
You were asking MPs from the Ahrar party of Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr vote to keep US troops in the country.

By the way, the Sadrists, were all about anti-imperialism, and they really, really hatd occupying troops.
They weren’t going to vote to keep the US in the country.

So Obama was not asked to stay in Iraq by the sovereign Iraqi government, and international law made it impossible for him to keep troops there in a war-fighting capacity without an extra territoriality provision.
Meanwhile, there had been no al-Qaeda in Iraq before Bush invaded.

Abu Musab al-Zarqawi had bad relations with Osama bin Laden and formed al-Qaeda in Mesopotamia. After he was killed by the US in 2006, the new, Iraqi leadership declared itself the Islamic State of Iraq and moved into Syria when the civil war started there.

Then it was also the marginalization of the Iraqi Sunnis by Nuri al-Maliki, whose Shiite majority came to power under Bush, that promoted ISIS.

Oh there you go with facts again.
Don’t you know that reality has no place in the minds of the GOP base?

You’ll never convince a Trump supporter with a post like that; not enough pictures.

Donald has been told by his handlers to stop making these stupid, irrational, fact-devoid remarks … but he simply cannot help himself.

Remember this Donald since you already forgot, there was no ISIL in the news until Saddam was executed.

Here’s a bonus question, who was the sitting president after his death ?

Just stfu already. t’s sad when a presidential CAMPAIGN can rip a country apart like his has. Can you imagine what his presidency would be like? And if people actually think he is such a good businessman, remember he is probably paying a staff to run this trainwreck of a campaign.
