Threat to decapitate member of Texas mosque

Posted by | August 8, 2016 12:46 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Religion

Police and the FBI are investigating a threat left by voicemail by a man saying he is a veteran who wants to decapitate members of a Texas mosque.

“F*** you, f*** Muhammad, f*** Islam. This is America. If you don’t like the way we do s***, get the f*** out,” the man said in the message left at the Masjid Al-Sahaabah, which was accessed by local TV station KDFW.

“We’ll start just cutting off the heads of all of you m*******rs,” the recording, which was left on July 30 but not heard by mosque officials until Saturday, continued. “Huh? How would you like that? Maybe we need another Christian crusade, which I think we do.”

“We will cut all your heads off, you understand me? All of you,” he warned.

The caller reportedly identified himself as an army veteran and a Christian in the recording.

He left out the batshitcrazy part…

Remember when the RW went bugf*ck over a report that said that RW extremists trained by the military could be dangerous?

It wasn’t just Homeland Security that came to that conclusion…the SPLC, Heritage and Cato all came to the same conclusions.

For the past several years I’ve been saying that the greatest threat to the American way of life is evangelical Christians. This is just more proof.

“F*** you, f*** Muhammad, f*** Islam. This is America. If you don’t like the way we do s***, get the f*** out,” Well. it seems this person does not understand part of what this country stands for. I believe freedom to religion rings a bell. Get it? Guess not.

I have always been a tolerant person, but i have lost patience with you mentally deranged evangelical far right dominionist psychos! People such as quake dynasty, alex jones, pat robertson, all of you,you think you are saved, but you are depraved! You are a menace to a free society and should be put away. You are of the same twisted evil mentality as the puritans that murdered millions of native americans, the same mentality that burned what you call witches alive, same mentality as those who murdered millions in the dark ages! You are violent, dangerous, mentally ill people that no longer belong in a progressive free society!!

      • Red Mann August 8th, 2016 at 20:17

Preach it Brother! I am so f*cking sick of these ignorant, yet arrogant, mouth breathing d!ckheads. Still believing childish stories written thousands of years ago, still believing in ignorant superstition in 21st century, the f*cking 21st century. What is wrong with these f*cking idiots?

        • Gary Parillo August 8th, 2016 at 20:26

I also have had it with these evil hearted hypocrites, and i will expose their lies every chance i get when appropriate to post such! They arent content to believe their dogmas and leave everyone else alone. They constantly spread hatred and division, they want into positions of power because in their deluded sick minds they think that is what the god of their fantasy world wants them to do.The authorities need to wake up to the danger they cause by captivating
          The minds of the unstable!

          • Red Mann August 8th, 2016 at 20:32

One of the biggest sources of lies are web sites like WND, Barbwire, OneNewsOne etc. They all block anyone who tries to introduce any kind of reality so they have an unchallenged platform to spread the most egregious, hateful, childish lies imaginable and their pathetic flock can only hear the lies.
These people are a clear and present danger to democracy.

            • Gary Parillo August 8th, 2016 at 20:44

You can add info wars to that list. They are cultists who,as you say, will not allow voices of reason into their twister world. They truly have become a clear and present danger to all who value free thought and peace! Puritan maniacs no different than the crusaders that preceded them! They no longer even hide their violent intentions within their dominionist chapels of hatred!

              • Red Mann August 8th, 2016 at 21:48

So what do we do in the face of these Morlocks? They control large chunks of the media, their asinine beliefs are protected, politicians kiss their anal sphinctesr for their low info votes. Reason bounces off of them like water off a ducks back. Their truth is actually lies.
The solutions is education and critical thinking, something they have fought against for years. We are in deep Kimchi and the barbarians are at the gate.

                • Gary Parillo August 8th, 2016 at 22:10

I wish i knew the answers. They have hidden behind the facade of religious freedom, and been tolerated as such. When Hiilary is elected,i would like to see some serious proposals givencto her, that would remove the tax exempt status of any religious institution that openly and blatantly sticks its nose into politics and insights hatred of other groups. The dominionist preacher Paula White is a great example of someone who has crossed that separation line. There are others worse than her, that publicly call for the execution of gay paople and who stir intolerance and hatred of muslims.I would think involvement with right wing watch website is a good place to start,as they research and expose the ones who have crossed the line.I honestly cannot remember in my 60 decades, ever a time when churches have departed from the purpose they are supposed to serve and become radical political breeding grounds for hate and intolerance. And it is always connected to the republican party!

                  • Red Mann August 8th, 2016 at 23:11

These are people that abuse freedom of speech to spread unbounded lies, hate and fear mongering with no redeemable social value. In a just world they would be shunned, but in our world they are praised. It really stretches allegiance to the Constitution to allow these destructive monsters to operate freely, but I don’t see any course of action that doesn’t damage democracy. Shame doesn’t work because they have no shame, the truth simply bounces off them. They are dangerous psychopaths we can’t touch.
A case for violent overthrow of the government could almost be made, but the insane deference to religion makes it hard to prove.

                    • Gary Parillo August 8th, 2016 at 23:28

In our democracy they do have the right to express what they want, however ignorant it is.But I do think the ones that call themselves “churches” and do nothing but recruit for right wing ideologies, and political activism, need to be investigated and no longer allowed to operate as tax free churches. That includes radical mosques who take advantage of those same loopholes.

                    • Red Mann August 8th, 2016 at 23:41

If it were up to me, there would be no religious exemption for anything, period. They don’t contribute that much to society as a whole to rate special treatment. As far as any actual charity they may do, they should follow the same rules as any other charitable group. They’ve been getting a free ride for far too long.

                    • Gary Parillo August 8th, 2016 at 23:47

When did that nonsense begin, and why? They really should be the same status as any other charitable group. For a nation that began on the premises of escaping religious oppression and domination, why give it any special anything?

                    • Red Mann August 9th, 2016 at 01:44

We just barely got a secular government, the right wingers of the day railed against the Constitution because it didn’t mention god and they kept trying to insert religious crap in to it. The Puritan mindset was and is still strong and the Calvinistic philosophy didn’t help. Some have maintained that because we don’t have a state religion, we have more religious crap because the various religions have to compete with each other as to who’s the godliest. Many immigrant cultures brought their extreme religious beliefs with them. In any event the US is the most religious country of the industrialized world and do we ever pay for it.

                    • Gary Parillo August 9th, 2016 at 02:33

Puritan mindset keeps getting passed down like a genetic disease. We are the most religious and the most violent.Phobias and guilt ridden go hand in hand with religion. Some of the most well adjusted and less violent countries are in northern europe, where they place little to no importance on religion.Good thing we have a holy book to tell us thou shalt not murder and thou shalt not steal,or we would have never known those things are wrong (sarcasm).

                    • whatthe46 August 9th, 2016 at 02:46

funny right? when “radical” Islamic terrorist threatens to or does, cut ones head off, according to the “christians” they are evil, violent and not peaceful, and that means all muslims are placed under that same blanket. but, repukes be damned, if a self proclaimed “christian” threatens to commit the same damn act will they consider that “radical” Christians. they “white ‘christians'” are considered, by RWNJ media, a lone wolf. i’d love to ask them why.

                    • Gary Parillo August 9th, 2016 at 03:24

They cant apply the same unfair comparison to christian terrorism since the accusers all consider themselves to be christians. Then they would be condemning themselves. Its unfair to either religion to condemn the entire religion for the depraved acts of the few. When i go on my rants about the christian radical right,i dont mean to include the peaceful and goodhearted believers,of which there are many. Its a fine line i guess.Need to keep it fair and balanced (that sounded to much like fox news, ugh).

                    • whatthe46 August 9th, 2016 at 03:37

of course it shouldn’t be reflective on their or anyone’s religion as a whole. you and i both know that. but, tell these bat guano “christians” “Americans” that. they will laugh themselves into the loony bin as if you’re absolutely stupid and wrong for such a suggestion. and yes, that fair and balanced, is what we liberals are, NOT FOX LIES ENTERTAINMENT. sorry for the shouting, got a little irritated there.

                    • Gary Parillo August 9th, 2016 at 04:01

Youve got to stop shouting like that, you almost woke my wife up.The way i know is she stopped snoring for 10 seconds.

Bob Altemeyer’s work, http://home.cc.umanitoba.ca/~altemey/, ties RW Authoritarians to fear as the underlying cause of their behavior, fear of change, fear of The Other, fear that drives them to seek strong, father figure types be it some god or some dictator or demagogue.

                    • Red Mann August 9th, 2016 at 10:47

Dawkins called religion a virus of the mind. I think he’s right.

                    • whatthe46 August 9th, 2016 at 02:00

you’re right. but, try bringing that up when trying to run for elective office. if Jesus was running for the presidency against hitler, and said that, who do you think would win? that’s how pathetic this fk’n country is.

        • Gary Parillo August 8th, 2016 at 20:37

Exactly! These psychos hold their hypocritical hands in prayer, and then spew nothing but hate speech and division! It is past time, to speak out and expose them for what they are.The vet in this story is only one example of the millions that they stir to violent intentions by their twisted vision.Yet we still give them tax free shelters in which to stick their hypocritical noses into the world of politics!

          • whatthe46 August 8th, 2016 at 20:48

it’s time to tax the churches. it’s a big ass scam.

            • Gary Parillo August 8th, 2016 at 20:59

It is past time to do so.Religion, throught history has caused nothing but bloodshed and hate! When christians came to political power in the days of ancient rome, they went through tbe land and murdered millions who they considered heathens. That wasnt enough enough bloodshed to satisfy their warped minds,so they then began slaughtering other christians who believed dogma that differed from their interpretation. They must not gain power in our nation as they now set their hopes on trump,to be their messiah of bigotry and hate.

            • PattyJM August 9th, 2016 at 15:26

              You bet your ass!

Tax em just like any other business. Churches are for-profit businesses.

  5. bunya August 8th, 2016 at 13:21

“Maybe we need another Christian crusade, which I think we do.”
Then might I suggest you start another “Christian crusade”. Just make sure you say you’re killing in the name of your god, so the Muslims will know to attack the Christians and leave us pacifists alone.

    • anothertoothpick August 8th, 2016 at 13:30

Both Islam and Christianity claim to be revealed religions, holding that their teachings are truths that God himself has conveyed to us and wants everyone to accept. They were, from the start, missionary religions. A religion charged with bringing God’s truth to the world faces the question of how to deal with people who refuse to accept it. To what extent should it tolerate religious error? At certain points in their histories, both Christianity and Islam have been intolerant of other religions, often of each other, even to the point of violence.

      • Bunya August 9th, 2016 at 15:24

The way to have others accept your religious beliefs, is to bomb the hell out of them. That’s how it’s been done for centuries and continues today. Bombing clinics and killing doctors because of their disbelief in “what Jesus wants”, comes to mind and is considered the domestic “crusade”.

I have to share this link, I was glad to see a conservative saying this. I do not know who Bret Stephens is other than he is a conservative who writes for Wall Street Journal but he gave an extremely truthful explanation of trump and what is happening to the republican party. This was on this morning and I cannot find the entire interview yet, but this is a meaty part of the interview. The link goes to Media Matters and the video is on the top of the page. https://mediamatters.org/video/2016/08/08/wsjs-bret-stephens-right-wing-media-echo-chamber-has-pushed-republicans-be-increasingly-divorced/212236

    • whatthe46 August 9th, 2016 at 02:25

well, that conversation was a “duh.” he’s nothing special because he, like all the others who have now decided tRump is not an ideal candidate, knew from the beginning this was insane to nominate him/vote for him to the point he’s gotten this far. to denounce him now is like, wait, what, why, really and you didn’t know, kinda of thing going on here. this isn’t new news, but, to the konservs, it is.

      • Suzanne McFly August 9th, 2016 at 13:08

The part where he said republicans have been living in a bubble. They listen to talk radio and faux entertainment, they believe everything they hear and do not question the validity of it. That is what will destroy the party, they can’t see past themselves and they haven’t realized they are a dying breed.
