Ivanka Trump’s products removed from site because made in China

Posted by | August 8, 2016 16:55 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

Buried in this story about Ivanka Trump’s business practices is that her products were removed from a Trump website when they realized they’re made in China.

Donald Trump, an opponent of outsourcing jobs, pulled his daughter’s products from the Trump Organization’s website after reporters noticed many of the goods were manufactured in China.

You mean the man who is promising to bring jobs back to america, the man who tells us he cares about the struggling workers,is making his products with slave labor in China?Shocking I tell you,how shocking, that dearest leader is not only a psychotic habitual liar, but also a blatant hypocrite.

“CNN purchased several Trump brand items online including a $16.95 dress
shirt made in Bangladesh, a $166.88 pinstripe suit made in Indonesia,
and even a dollar-shaped tie clip made in China bought for $24”

      “Honduras, where nationally the average
factory worker earns about $1.30 an hour. Even that hourly wage may have
been too high for Trump’s licensed manufacturer. The Honduran factory’s
      contract ended in 2015”

“Trump shirts were being manufactured and shipped from Bangladesh, where
the average factory worker makes just 33 cents an hour, according to
      Nova.”

and then there’s Turkey where he manufactures his furniture and his picture frames in India.

People like little donny, will take their manufacturing projects to one disadvantaged country, and as soon as they find another country where they can exploit slave workers for even less, they will pull out and go there. But little donny is going to bring back jobs to america.

Dear leader would never lie to them.

what kind of human being (term used lightly) would cheer on someone running for the presidency, could say something, like:

“In his latest speech he claimed that his voters are smart enough to not
abandon him even if he was to kill somebody in broad daylight.”

“I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn’t lose any voters, OK?” ~ Donald Trump 2016
              ********
and for people to still support him, especially politicians, what in the flying monkey fuc*, does that say about every single one of his supporters? can you (well not really asking for an answer) imagine, either Obama or HRC, making that statement and not get their asses handed to them on a damn platter? really, and fox didn’t touch that with a 10 foot pole and neither did repuking politicians. WTF? and they call BLM dangerous. fk that shi*!

Looks like he wont have to shoot anybody, shooting off his big mouth is loosing him plenty of votes.A former cia agent who is now wanting to run for pres.,called him “inhuman” today on cnn.

                • whatthe46 August 9th, 2016 at 03:23

i saw that. about the former CIA. why didn’t he call him “inhumane” from day one? that’s the problem i have with all these repukes at this time. it’s like i’m torn. kinda glad they lost to this idiot, loud mouth, evil, disgusting waste of flesh, and i’m pissed that they didn’t, because we have this issue where people are dying or being brutalized for being brown. regardless of ethnicity or religion. so, coming out now, with me personally, is falling on my deaf ears. did they denounce him when he spoke nastily of Mexicans, being rapist and murderers? nope. called women nasty names? nope. shoot someone and still get votes? nope. but, talk badly about a judge who is of Latino decent, bad. talk bad about the parents of a gold star medal, bad. murdering someone, not so much. fk all of them. but, again, it’s just my opinion.

People dont like to admit when their wrong, and will put up with alot to avoid doing so,until it violates their tolerance level. It would appear donny is now doing that even for the ones who were to stubborn to admit such before. The ones who will hold out with him to the very end are really the ones void of common sense.

For some reason trump gets a pass on this. By now, most people are aware that he sources his campaign crap overseas, but I have yet to see anyone ask him why he doesn’t have it mad in the US.

        • whatthe46 August 10th, 2016 at 00:43

i’m sure when it’s time for the debates Hillary will bring it up, especially since that’s his, well one of his lying platforms, is always yelling “CHINA” and crap. he also, not only outsource his wears to other countries, he imports immigrants to work for him IN THIS DAMN COUNTRY! oooh i can’t stand this trick.

I wish I could remember the name of this documentary and maybe someone here will help me..

The scene opens with a camera pointing down a long work bench at least 50 yards long with probably a hundred Chinese factory workers at every work space.

Over head is an impossible maze of conveyors moving all kinds of parts for everything from hair dryers to clothes irons to make-up mirrors blah blah blah.

The camera is mounted on a golf cart and starts to move from the very back, to the very front. Work bench after work bench. Chinese worker after Chinese worker

It took ten minutes to make that journey. The place was massive and filled with Chinese workers all dressed in uniforms busting their asses on these assembly lines

The camera then moves outside to reveal that there are at !East 200 of these exact same buildings at this manufacturing site.

    Does anybody know this documentary?

It also showed a shipyard in China building those incredible container ships

Didn’t watch the whole thing (having concentration problems today), but maybe …

        Oh Wow.

Thanks TiredOldguy. That is a great documentary and it shows how the Chinese have mastered small product manufacturing and they will never be beat. Short of using machines.

But….that is not exactly the doc I am thinking about even though it was filmed at the same location of the one you posted.

The one I was thinking of was made by a artistic photographer and he was just shooting work locations in China. However, and much to his surprise, his photographs and video’s turned into a description of how the world of small manufacturing . And manufacturing in general in China because he included ship building, computer scrapping, (mile high mountains of toxic waste) and more.

Anyway I doubt if we will ever get that kind of manufacturing back in this country. The Chinese own it, and maybe they should.

But is sure is a lot of jobs.

Did you ever work assembly line Tired?

I did when I was a kid. It was brutal.

        • TiredOldGuy August 8th, 2016 at 19:58

Never worked assembly line. Hardest job I ever had was in college. One summer I worked unloading barges of sugar (50 lb. burlap bags). Shoulders were raw and covered with blisters. The more than occasional fall into the Ohio river was not a pleasurable experience either. It reinforced in me that a desk job was in my future.

    • bpollen August 9th, 2016 at 05:46

It has nothing to do with the subject at hand, but that reminded me of one of the greatest lines I can think of in a story-type song –

“There’s a hole in Daddy’s arm where all the money goes…”

  7. StoneyCurtisll August 8th, 2016 at 22:08

Donald Trump is a fan of making his products overseas…
This is what he does to make money…
For Trump to suggest he is against making a profit off of the low wage labor of Chinese or Mexican or Vietnamese workers is a a freaking lie…
    Trump is bull shit artist…

Ivanka is also being sued by a couture shoe design company, as she lifted the designs of a dozen or more of their upscale shoes, down to the finest details, and made a cheap knock off in China…family values.
