Pizza ATMs exist

Posted by | August 5, 2016 17:12 | Filed under: Planet

They are big on college campuses.

In college, there is a pizza for everything. Pizza when you finish your exams, pizza during rush, pizza at 3:00 in the morning when you’ve partied way too hard, and of course, pizza in the morning because you partied too hard and ate too much pizza and now you need pizza to feel better about the whole thing. So it only makes sense that pizza ATMs are coming to college campuses, starting with Xavier University in Cincinnati, reports WCPO.

The university has partnered with French company Paline to bring the first pizza ATM to the school, and it is set to begin dispensing pizzas on August 10th. The machine can hold 70 pizzas at a time, and they will come out piping hot and ready to eat.

Reminds me of Lunchables. I have never been that hard up for pizza. And I really like pizza.

sorta cute to call a vending machine an ATM, but, really….

That has got to be the god-awfullest pizza ever. Only drunk college students would even consider eating it.

Wait until an over served student gets his hand stuck in the oven. At least the thought was there

    I’m from New Jersey.
    That’s not pizza.

    (But I like the concept!)

here’s a better pic of what the pizza looks like after it’s cooked. and it takes 3 mins to bake.

Looks good enough to munch while drunk.
Which means, I’d totally eat that s*t right the f*k now.

        lol

(Still not “real”, but looks better than Pizza Hut! Or the awful Papa John’s abominations!)

          dying laughing.

        • whatthe46 August 6th, 2016 at 02:06

it cooks in 3 mins. you get to pick your toppings. even veggie.

          • Kick Frenzy August 6th, 2016 at 02:24

            Definitely awesome college food.
            (Well, depends on the cost.)

Unless you have a Windmill within walking distance… or taxi.
(Open late with a drunk-friendly menu.)
(And a staff that knows it and is happy about it.)
            (Seriously awesome s*t.)

            • whatthe46 August 6th, 2016 at 02:33

the cost is 9 bucks. it’s a12 in.

                That’s not too terrible.
I could certainly see justifying it when in the throes of the drunk munchies! lol

                • whatthe46 August 6th, 2016 at 16:51

or the other kind of munchies

            • whatthe46 August 6th, 2016 at 02:33

laughing. you sound like you remember it well. at least the drunk part and the eating part. that’s too funny.

              • Kick Frenzy August 6th, 2016 at 14:34

A couple decades on and yup, I still remember it fairly well.

Of course, I was also drinking last night when responding, so I was in the right mindset. ;)

seriously though, it’s not a bad looking pizza. they actually had a cook in from France that trained some staff for 40 hrs on the prep. it phones them when it’s getting low. they just replace the dough and ingredients and that’s it.

          • Kick Frenzy August 6th, 2016 at 14:35

I certainly expected it to look much worse!
            But that’s impressive.

(Although, they should’ve gotten someone from New York or New Jersey… but, y’know I’m biased.)

      • Suzanne McFly August 6th, 2016 at 06:41

Okay, not that looks a little better. If I was under the influence, I might eat a slice lol.
