Trump spox blames Obama, Clinton, for Khan’s son’s death

Rather than put this to bed, the Trump campaign is keeping a conflict with a Gold Star family alive.

First, Pierson incredulously demanded of Wolf Blitzer, “What exactly is Mr. Trump supposed to be apologizing for?”

Blitzer pointed out that Trump engaged in a pretty nasty attack against Ghazala Khan when he implied a grieving mother who couldn’t bring herself to speak about her dead son was only silent because she’s a Muslim and therefore wasn’t “allowed.”

Pierson’s response was to play up nonsense from fringe websitesraising questions about Khizr Khan‘s commitment to American values.

Oh, but after that, Pierson went ahead and said this, about Humayan Khan’s death (again, in 2004):

“It was under Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton that changed the rules of engagements that probably cost his life! So I don’t understand why it’s so hard to understand why Donald Trump was confused.”

    Republicans are chronologically challenged. I wanted the clip to last long enough to see if Wolf challenged her on the time. He probably didn’t though.

      He let it slide. Blitzer, and most of CNN, is a total embarrassment. They take everything at face value and challenge nothing but what can we expect when they have a Drumpf staffer on their payroll (Lewandowski).

    There is a certain element within the R.(idiculous) party that believes firmly that Obama has a time machine. If he really did, why wouldn’t he have gone back to say October of 1945 and interrupt Fred and Mary?

    Mr. Khan is a Muslim Brotherhood terrorist with close ties to the EB-5 program that he used thru his law firm to conduct all kinds of illicit finance and money laundering and possible espionage and more. This man should be arrested and be charged with his treasonous activity. Here the media is going after Trump and this man is a traitor and is playing on the sympathy of Americans over his dead son. This man is not a hero like his son. This man is a traitor to his country.
