Another Republican, this time a congressman, goes after Khan

Congressman Chris Collins also happens to be the first congressman to have endorsed Trump.

“At this point, 12 years later, Mr. Khan has decided to enter the fray, attack Mr. Trump in a very inappropriate way when, in fact, it’s Hillary Clinton that ignores the First, Second and Tenth Amendments,” he said. “At that point, I can’t blame Mr. Trump for saying, I’m going to defend my integrity and my understanding of the Constitution.”

Collins went on to point out that Clinton supported the Iraq War, a position Trump repeatedly attacked her for. He then cast Khan as an “attack dog” for Clinton and said that he uses his late son as a “shield” from criticism.

“He’s become Hillary’s attack dog, and every time Donald Trump will say something, he puts up the shield, if you will, of the loss of his son,” he said.

“Mr. Khan is saying I’m immune from anyone criticizing me because my son died in a very heroic loss to the family and also in service of the country,” he continued. “But today he’s taken on a political role as an attack dog for Hillary Clinton, and I think, in that regard, he’s got to take what comes back at him.”

You DO realize Mr. Trump stated he would defend the twelfth article of the Constitution right? I mean really. The jokes just keep writing themselves.

      • whatthe46 August 3rd, 2016 at 12:24

Lets see, president Obama visiting all 50 state’s is your reply, and that has what exactly to do with William’s post? Nothing. You should have just kept silent, your stupid reply is still saying, yep, tRump is a dumb ass.

You do know that President Obama is not running for office right? Your racism is duly noted but not unexpected. Right wing bigots have been taking shots at minorities since the internet was developed. (From the safety and anonymity of your keyboard of course, because you’d wet you pants if you had to do it in person ). I do enjoy your butthurt and distress though.
Now why don’t you go take a nice relaxing bath with your toaster. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/e81861a49f15dc579d7c1a9a2ac4f69a50e15d20e1da18914d67fdf5598c7c3e.jpg.

Let’s send these Republicans razor blades to scrape off their “I support the troops.” bumper stickers.

      I completely agree.

    • Larry Schmitt August 2nd, 2016 at 16:50

Having an “I support the troops” bumper sticker is what you do instead of actually doing something for the troops.

At the GOP convention, Patricia Smith accused Hillary of killing her son.

    How did Hillary respond?

Like someone temperamentally suited to be president.

This is in stark contrast to Donald Trump.

    • Rich August 3rd, 2016 at 12:06

she responded by calling her a liar ..the MSM won’t cover that now do they?

      • whatthe46 August 3rd, 2016 at 12:20

Well since you claim to know she said this, not that it isn’t true, prove it.

Of course we all know that this a$$hole and the rest of the right wing bullsh*t machine would be throwing a hissy fit if any liberal or Democratic politician had a similar reaction to the mothers of the Benghazi victims presented at the RNC.

These right wingers are low life hypocrites.

Wow, can this get any uglier? Mensa is right, look at how dignified Hillary was in the face of all that name calling and finger pointing. I swear, my 18 month old grand daughter has a better temperment than Rump. He makes me ill.
