Ryan Bundy declares himself an ‘idiot’ not subject to federal law

Posted by | July 30, 2016 11:24 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

Ryan filed documents to federal district court judge Anna Brown.

“I, ryan c, man, am an idiot of the ‘Legal Society’; and; am an idiot (layman, outsider) of the ‘Bar Association’; and; i am incompetent; and; am not required by any law to be competent,” Bundy wrote.

Along with his brother Ammon and some two dozen others, Bundy faces felony conspiracy charges for illegally occupying the wildlife refuge in remote eastern Oregon to protest federal land ownership.

Ryan Bundy is representing himself in the case.

In another filing, he declared himself a sovereign citizen of the “bundy society” who was a creation of God, not a “person” as defined by “the unholy bible of the Legal Society.”

His brother, Ammon Bundy, signed the declaration of sovereign citizenship as a witness.

So he better be locked up for the rest of his life to save him from himself!

  2. Larry Schmitt July 30th, 2016 at 11:34

I agree, he is an idiot, and incompetent, but he is still subject to the law. He speaks as if Sarah Palin were his adviser.

    • mistlesuede July 30th, 2016 at 12:45

Don’t say incompetent. That and his version of idiot could get him a different outcome.

      • Larry Schmitt July 30th, 2016 at 12:46

I didn’t mean in the legal sense, but in that he has no abilities.

        • mistlesuede July 30th, 2016 at 12:48

Gotcha. I hope he doesn’t get declared mentally ill and get away with his part of this.

  3. Long Tom July 30th, 2016 at 11:40

I wanna party with that guy.

You’ll end up face down, on the lawn. If you’re lucky.

I just love when people claim to be “sovereign citizens”. So far, it’s (not) worked out really well for them. ;-)

Aren’t they just begging to be deported?

      • Dwendt44 July 30th, 2016 at 13:19

No country would take them and we haven’t perfected trips to the moon.

    • Larry Schmitt July 30th, 2016 at 12:46

Who convinced them that that’s a legal defense? He’s not bright enough to come up with it himself. Musta talked to some law school dropout.

  5. DogsRgoodpeople July 30th, 2016 at 12:29

    lmao

  6. Mike July 30th, 2016 at 12:34

Well I kinda suspected as much….but how is that a defense…???

    • eyelashviper July 30th, 2016 at 12:43

In Idiotstan it matters, believe me, OK?

  7. mistlesuede July 30th, 2016 at 12:43

Is this the way to get him declared mentally ill so that he won’t have to face the charges pending? He may be a self-declared idiot, but so are the rest of these morons that were involved.

  8. eyelashviper July 30th, 2016 at 12:45

Wow, compelling argument. How could the judge in this case not laugh him or herself silly?
I do hope these trials are televised, it will be Curley, Moe, and crew all over again, with pratfalls and all.

    • Larry Schmitt July 30th, 2016 at 12:47

The difference is, the Three Knuckleheads were funny on purpose.

      • eyelashviper July 30th, 2016 at 12:59

  11. Suzanne McFly July 30th, 2016 at 16:10

Well I would give him a 50% truth score. He is without a doubt an idiot, but jails are filled with morons so you better figure out an alibi Sparky.

  12. Hirightnow July 30th, 2016 at 17:06

Funny thing is, you broke U.S. laws, so you could be a citizen of wherever you wish, but you’ll still do time in a U.S. prison.

  13. bpollen July 30th, 2016 at 17:14

The funniest thing to me? Throughout the filing, he refers to himself as ryan c, man… yet he signed the document with capitals in all the right places, which kinda blows the idea that he is a “no-caps” entity not subject to the laws of the country he was born and raised in right outta the water.

SovCits have been given a heaping helping of gullible. The good news is that they are being preyed upon by their own.

  14. StoneyCurtisll July 30th, 2016 at 18:14

I happy the whole lot of them are locked up pending trial…
In their boredom, they have little if anything else to do but file frivolous law suits, (especially from jails/prisons), something that the right wing has always seemed to be against…
They are looking at 10-15 years minium for their crimes, and there is over whelming evidence to convict them…(Federal Charges)

  15. spacegod July 30th, 2016 at 19:01

I hate say I told you so but I knew Ryan was an idiot from the start.

  19. dewired4u July 30th, 2016 at 21:29
