Pence doesn’t like name-calling, unless Trump does it

Posted by | July 29, 2016 15:53 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

Mike Pence told Hugh Hewitt how terrible it is that President Obama called Donald Trump a demagogue.

“I don’t think name calling has any place in public life, and I thought that was unfortunate that the president of the United States would use a term like that, let alone laced into a sentence like that.”

    Let us review shall we.

    Pocohontas
    Crooked Hillary
    Lyin Ted
    “Bimbo” for Megyn Kelly

But Gov. Pence complains about President Obama engaging in “name calling”

I cannot think of a better paradigm to illustrate the inherent intellectual dishonesty and hypocrisy that is the bedrock of the 21st century Republican party.

Pence is an off the wall t bagger digging a Republican hole with a bulldozer.

    Dear Mikey Pence,

It’s not “name calling” when the word used is not a slang word, while also having a meaning that is a truthful description of the person it’s being used to describe.
    Example:
    dem·a·gogue – noun
    – a political leader who seeks support by appealing to popular desires and prejudices rather than by using rational argument.

Please, Pencey, find me an example of Trump using a rational argument and we can talk about whether that reference was earned or not.
Otherwise, stop displaying your willful ignorance of words… it hurts our ears.

    Sincerely,
Pretty much everyone with the ability to wipe their own asses

Ahhh, so it’s ok to refer to the GOP veepee nominee as “Mike Ponce.”

      Gee, thanks, Kick Frenzy!

      • Hirightnow July 29th, 2016 at 18:56

Very few North Americans know what that means, burqa, but I see what you did there…

You’re right… I had to look up what “ponce” meant.

And now that I know what it means, I certainly wouldn’t have used it as a derogatory slang to refer to anyone.

          • Hirightnow July 30th, 2016 at 05:50

In this case, though, it fits.

            • Kick Frenzy July 30th, 2016 at 23:08

              How so?
I don’t see Pence as being effeminate, nor do I know of him living off of a prostitutes wages.

Don’t get me wrong, he’s an ass… but I don’t see how “ponce” could be applied to him as a truthful description.

              • Hirightnow July 31st, 2016 at 09:45

Well, that’s just a difference in our opinions.

      • Kick Frenzy July 30th, 2016 at 00:13

Well, first of all, I’m not running for president.
        Second, I don’t know where you’re getting that… I never used “Ponce”.

Although, I did say “Mikey” and “Pencey”… to show that his projected intellect is equivalent to a child.

  7. burqa July 29th, 2016 at 18:24

Ponce objects to name-calling (except by Trump) and goes on Hugh Hewitt’s show to do so.
    Bad choice.
Hewitt compared Trump to stage 4 cancer.

Rump is: Rude, arrogant, pompous, bigoted, xenophobic, selfish, a fascist, un-American, dangerous, unhinged, not credible, liar, tyrant, a manipulator, the anti-Christ, a finger of the devil, not to be trusted. How’s that for name calling??

Imagine a letter from Trump to the relatives of a soldier
who died in war — Dear whomever, your killed in battle
father / son / spouse was a LOSER, and I hate LOSERS,
    you’re FIRED, sincerely Donald T.
and what was it he said again to McCain, “I prefer my
heroes to not get killed, OK?”
