Anyone that was not moved and amazed by this speech has no heart, or if they do, it is dead from all the hate inside it.

      Very well said. Me too.
It was a magnificent speech and let us hope we see plenty more Michelle Obama during the campaign and afterward.
I’m thinking, hmmmm, maybe Hillary should appoint Michelle UN ambassador?

I would love to see Michelle in an official position, but after her husband has been crucified for 8 years, I bet she wants nothing to do with it.

        • whatthe46 July 26th, 2016 at 20:45

damn, it would be nice though to have her rub it in their faces.

  2. Hirightnow July 26th, 2016 at 09:15

I missed it. I’ll just have to catch it when Melania does it.

I love Michelle Obama. She has been the best FLOTUS of my lifetime IMHO.
She brought tears to my eyes last night.
I am going to miss her so much when January rolls around.

      You too?

      hahahahaha Yeah I know.

    • anothertoothpick July 26th, 2016 at 13:06

      when Michelle said:

Equality for women is not an issue solely for women. It affects us all. How many Einsteins and Hawking’s and Mozarts have we lost through the ages by systematically relegating over half our population to second class citizenship? How many Jonas Salk’s and Edward Jenner’s could we have, if we had doubled our scientific and leadership pool of talent centuries ago? Tonight and and throughout this week, we will all get to not only witness one giant leap forward in that struggle, we progressives have the privilege of being an integral part of it!

That is when I lost it.

Now I feel teary eyed again. Thanks.
        Teasing.
I secretly believe a lot of men work against us having a woman President because they are afraid to see her be so much better than most of the men who have preceded her.
And wouldn’t Michelle have made a great POTUS?

        • anothertoothpick July 26th, 2016 at 14:20

I too get “teary eyed” mistlesuede.

And I agree with you on “they are afraid to see her be so much better than most of the men who have preceded her.”

I got a story for you.

Are you familair with the “woman” congress person. (?) that actually voted NO on WWI AND WWII?

          • mistlesuede July 26th, 2016 at 17:54

No! I have no idea about her. Can you link me something?

Jeannette Pickering Rankin (June 11, 1880 – May 18, 1973) was the first woman to hold federal office in the United States when, in 1916, she was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives by the state of Montana.[1] She won a second House term 24 years later, in 1940.

Each of Rankin’s Congressional terms coincided with initiation of U.S. military intervention in each of the World Wars. A lifelong pacifist, she was one of 50 House members (total of 56 in both chambers) who opposed the war declaration of 1917, and the only member of Congress to vote against declaring war on Japan after the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941.[2][3]

Rankin was also instrumental in initiating the legislation that eventually became the 19th Constitutional Amendment, granting unrestricted voting rights to women; and she championed the causes of gender equality and civil rights throughout a career that spanned more than six decades.

        • whatthe46 July 26th, 2016 at 20:44

that’s exactly why they feared president Obama. that’s exactly why education for minorities are crappy. a black educated mind to these racist, is a dangerous thing to them.

For all of you, the Bernie Supporters, like me, vote for HRC. Hold your noise, she is stink but you have no choice. Trump Presidency will be a dissaster…real dissaster for us. I hate to vote for HRC but she is a better choice atm. Hold your breath when you vote for her. But the good thing is we have the witch out of DNC Chair. I hope HRC will win. Trump and Pence try to steal Bernie supporters votes. Trust me, dont vote for Trump! Disgusting!

    • OldLefty July 26th, 2016 at 12:19

      Thank you.
I know many people who said they would hold their nose and vote for Bernie as well.
They would EVEN vote for former Senator Mike Gravel!

    • anothertoothpick July 26th, 2016 at 12:40

If trump gets in, all movement to the left will stop.

The small gains that were made under president Obama will be nullified.

      And we will go backwards.

This is all you need to know.

You have to do everything to stop trump and pence.

Although not mentioned by name, after Michelle’s speech, Donnie was “feeling the Bern” … on his ears.

  8. bunya July 26th, 2016 at 13:48

Always a classy woman. I’ll miss her.

    • burqa July 26th, 2016 at 18:53

OP: “Michelle Obama Gives a Speech for the Ages

Michelle Obama: “Hear me: Between now and November, we need to do what we did eight years ago and four years ago. We need to knock on every door, we need to get out every vote, we need to pour every last ounce of passion into electing Hillary Clinton as president of the United States of America. Let’s get to work.

And what did the Bernie supporters do during this epic speech, throw paper airplanes, flick boogers and chant silly slogans?
I mean, the convention is all about them, right?

  10. amersham1046 July 26th, 2016 at 20:33

Melania was taking notes (just in case)

    • whatthe46 July 26th, 2016 at 20:40

it’ll be in her next speech.

  11. StoneyCurtisll July 26th, 2016 at 21:42

And Michelle Obama didn’t have to steal any of her speech from Malania Trump’s speech…

    • whatthe46 July 26th, 2016 at 21:44

      Michelle is allergic to stupidity.

    • William July 26th, 2016 at 21:45
