The incident took place during “teen night” at a Ft. Myers nightclub.

The shooting took place at Club Blu in the early hours of Monday morning, according to Lt. Jim Mulligan of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. He said that two people have been killed, while as many as 17 people have been injured.

Fort Myers Police Department reported that 14 to 16 people were injured.

The scene has been described as “a mad house” and there have been reports of gunshots as people were exiting the nightclub, according to Wink News, a television station based in Fort Myers.

Another witness says that she heard around 30 gunshots from the scene and believes that these came from a number of weapons.

Police say that the scene is still active and they are searching for suspects in two locations in the city.

A total of three people have been detained in connection with the nightclub shooting, while police say they are trying to determine a motive for the shooting in the parking lot.

Yep. People are way too imperfect to carry a gun. Unfortunately it gives them a sense of empowerment to do whatever they want to do like kill and maim…

Well we aren’t supposed to react to these shootings right after they happen, they keep telling us to wait till calmer heads prevail. However, before anyone can calm down from the last shooting, another one happens. And the cycle repeats itself….

I was talking to my brother about the shootings and as we are talking we had to describe which shooting we were talking about, WTF? I remember the days when there was only one recent shooting, but those days are long gone.
