Hillary destroys Christie with one tweet

Posted by | July 20, 2016 14:15 | Filed under: Politics

During the second night at the Republican National Convention, Gov. Chris Christie held a mock-trial for Hillary Clinton while the crowd chanted, “LOCK HER UP! LOCK HER UP!” It was quite a spectacle, most especially given Christie’s own past with Bridgegate. Slate reports: Christie began by criticizing the Obama administration for failing to hold Clinton accountable…

Mr. Bridgegate seems to feel that the Trump crowd is qualified to serve as an impartial jury … with Trump as the judge and himself as the prosecutor in this faux indictment of Clinton.
It’s fun to play “make believe”, but it’s not reality.

Somewhat akin to the notion that Donald will ever live in the White House.

  2. Comicus July 20th, 2016 at 16:33

    Ooohhhh! That had to sting.

  3. Howard Pearce @HAPlibertarian July 20th, 2016 at 18:07

So the point of this is that if Christie had ethical problems then that means what he said is inherently false?

Maybe logical for fake political “liberal” like Alan

    • Anomaly 100 July 20th, 2016 at 19:38

      Hey Troll!

      • Howard Pearce @HAPlibertarian July 20th, 2016 at 19:57

LOL, you can tell a troll because they like to call everyone else a troll to hide themselves :D

Call me a troll if you wish. I do so to represent another view that is neither redneck conservative nor blueneck political “liberal” (I loosely use that word because they like to call themselves liberal)

Nah, you’re just here because Alan somehow hurt your feelings. I need to email Alan and thank him.

    • Red Mann July 20th, 2016 at 20:01

What he said was inherently distorted and false, all standard RW lying points and, yes, Christie has monumental ethical faults, nothing nearly so bad as Trump’s, of course.

      • Howard Pearce @HAPlibertarian July 20th, 2016 at 20:27

You really believe Hillary told the truth and it’s all just a right-wing conspiracy ?

She’s an obvious liar that maybe you can’t admit.

Trump has made some outrageous statements, I admit. But he has no actual record of lying before congress and breaking the rules and oath of office Hillary had (to protect national secrets).

All to keep her info secret on her private server while the secrets her job was supposed to protect came in a distant second.

Even polls show Trump as more trustworthy

I can’t even believe that Hillary’s statements on her own views are even trustworthy

I’m not voting for either of these jerks. I bet you are.

        • oldfart July 20th, 2016 at 20:42

So…What jerk are YOU voting for ?

        • Red Mann July 20th, 2016 at 20:44

I didn’t say such a thing, I said Christie was lying and distorting. This is not some zero sum nonsense, saying Christie lied is NOT saying Mrs. Clinton didn’t lie. Yeah she told a few flat out lies like the attack on the runway, and she may have stretched things with the emails, but nothing like the RWNJs claim, she did not lie about anything to do with Benghazi according to 8 Repbulican inspired “investigations” costing millions. She did nothing criminal with her emails, according to the FBI, even what was, or was not classified is still very hazy. You don’t know her motives, if any, involving emails, you are spouting your opinion.
BTW, where were all the investigations into Bush’s lies to get us into an illegal and disastrous war, the 64 dead in 11 Benghazi-like attacks on Bush’s watch, the 22 MILLION deleted emails under Bush?
If polls are showing Trumps as more trustworthy, then that is an indictment of the gullibility of Americans and the effectiveness of the RightWingNoiseAndLyingMachine.
Yes, I’m voting for Clinton, allowing Trump to become President would be a catastrophic disaster.

          • Howard Pearce @HAPlibertarian July 20th, 2016 at 20:52

Well them, by ypour own admission, Christie only “stretched” things as you say Hillary did – but didn’t lie.

She lied about secret documents on her server which the FBI has claimed were there. And there are others like “convenience of one device”.

And I didn’t support Bush so dont’t ry try to give a pass to Hillary based upon what he did. I opposed his invasion of Iraq like I opposed Obama’s invasion of SYria and Hillarly’s of Libya,

Lol , your vote will not make any difference. Don’t tell me your voting for Hillary to prevent Trump from winning. That’s merely propaganda.

Vote for someone you believe n or don’t vote ! Just say you believe in Hillary, maybe.

            • Red Mann July 20th, 2016 at 21:01

Yes Christie lied. Here are the details: http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/politics/2016/07/chris_christie_s_malicious_attack_on_hillary_clinton_was_full_of_lies.html
I believe Mrs. Clinton is the best person available for the job a this time, she has vast experience, she’s not a capricious airhead, she knows how to play hardball and her ethical lapses are well within tolerance of virtually all top tier politicians.
I keep hearing this “I didn’t vote/support/like Bush” to deflect the point that Republican politicians have never been attacked in the same way as Democrats and that the right consistently lies and distorts to bring down their opponents.

              • Howard Pearce @HAPlibertarian July 20th, 2016 at 21:09

The best ? She held political office – so did Hitler. It’s how you do your job!

Heh, I totally disagree on the press. Have you heard the press talk about how Obama invaded Syria or Hillary invaded Libya? Obama’s war record is TERRIBLE but hardly mentioned in the press AND his all the all time record in selling arms to other countries.

Well their are other choices like Jill Stein of the Green Party – a far more honest person that Hillary and Gary Johnson of the Libertarian Party.

But you will only vote for a person who “can” win because other votes you see as “wasted”, right?

                • Red Mann July 20th, 2016 at 21:17

OK, I’m done with you, you are not a serious person and definitely worth my effort.

                  • Howard Pearce @HAPlibertarian July 20th, 2016 at 21:24

well, I take those type of comments as not really meaning what they say.

Even people who disagree with me consider me serious about my beliefs.

                • halfwayin July 20th, 2016 at 21:25

                  Have you watched fux news?

                • granpa.usthai July 20th, 2016 at 23:25

                  yes.

Is that suppose to be some kind of a problem?

I look at the realities of 2016, and I DEFINITELY believe Hillary has a damn good chance of keeping US from going helter skelter into the fascist abyss. So, no arguments from me, I’ll go with Hillary and be willing to support her just like I have POTUS Obama – who, history will show IS the greatest POTUS to date.

            • granpa.usthai July 20th, 2016 at 23:19

got no problems with saying I believe in Hillary. and, yes, believe it or not, EVERY VOTE COUNTS, just as much as it did in 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, and now 2016! If you want to be ‘honest’, then you’ll admit that RepubliKons are spreading the BIG LIE that votes don’t count, etc, while at the same time trying to disenfranchise those they perceive will be voting against them. If your vote doesn’t count, WTF would they be going to such lengths?

        • halfwayin July 20th, 2016 at 21:33

We have no basis to conclude she lied to the FBI,” Comey told House Oversight Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) during one of the hearing’s opening exchanges.

have no idea what trump poles you’ve been talking to, but – trump has no actual record of ever being a public servant, either.
Whereas, Hillary Clinton has NEVER been charged with a crime (note: legislators have no JUDICIAL POWERS per the separation of powers as called for by The United States Constitution so their continuous Reich Rants don’t mean squat).

I’m voting for Hillary based entirely on her abilities as a GOOD public servant that works FOR THE PEOPLE.

When those who oppose GOOD public servants can come up with something more than partisan accusations (that have been PROVEN wrong for some 24 years already) I may listen to what the opposition has to say.

I dont see the issue as whos the bigger liar, but as who would make the best president? When was the last time that you can remember a president that told no lies?Or any politician?Or for that matter, any non-politician?They all have baggage, and if there in politics, they are not strangers to some type of corruption.Unfortunately this system is so rigged (i agree with Trump on that one)that in reality,we do only have two REAL choices. There are third party candidates I like better, but they do not stand a chance. So in spite of the corruption, who would at least make a better pres? There are some points Trump makes that I agree with. But he surrounds himself with a far right element that would be a huge influence on him.The supreme court also stands in the balance.Do we want to see far right evangelical wackos control our court, and thereby our domestic issues?A supreme court under Trump would set the scant progressive progress we have made under pres Obama, backwards!HC would continue to move us forward.I do not want to live under a theocracy,do you?As far as wars, they will never end,and any pres will take the advice of our military leaders, and do what needs to be done.I think Bernie would have been the better choice, but the dems blew that one.So it really comes down to, in spite of corruption and baggage, who of the two we are stuck with would be the best and most experienced? When I weigh them in the balance, the better of the two in my humble opinion is Hillary.I wish in reality that it could be otherwise, but its not.

          >> You really believe Hillary told the truth and it’s all just a right-wing conspiracy ?

It’s just another one of your fake “scandals” — like Hillary supposedly murdering Vince Foster or her being a lesbian.

You guys have been making up crap about the Clintons for decades.

So, yes. We are smart enough to see through the conservative BS.

The GOP should be the last people to be judging others on ethics

    • Mensa Member July 20th, 2016 at 23:26

      Ethics are for liberals.

  5. crc3 July 20th, 2016 at 23:06

Fat Boy should not talk about ethics since he himself is guilty of wrongdoing (Bridgegate). He needs to stick to things he knows like the menu at Golden Coral’s all you can eat buffet or Krispy Creme doughnuts buy one dozen get the second dozen free…

  6. Mensa Member July 20th, 2016 at 23:25

“Lock her up! Lock her up!”

That’s what dictators do to their political opponents.

    • Gary Parillo July 20th, 2016 at 23:44

The way the crowds chanted the lock her up chant, was truly frightening! It reminded me of mobs in the street in old western movies all screaming, hang him, hang him. They looked like an out of control lynch mob. They all pretend to be christians, but none of them remembers the words of they one they claim to follow,”Let he that is without sin among you cast the first stone”.Its one thing to not like someone,or not agree with them. Its quite another thing to wish evil upon them. Those people are truly evil hearted and cruel!

  7. granpa.usthai July 20th, 2016 at 23:28

    BAM!

one quick jab and the big guy goes down!

    Hillary is definitely POTUS READY.

    • Mensa Member July 20th, 2016 at 23:32

They shameless hypocrisy of Christie lecturing anybody on ethics or lying is lost on no one — except conservatives.

And, the few honest conservatives left will admit that Christie shamelessly unethical.
