But Republicans will have to tell you have bad the economy is doing if they want the White House.

U.S. stocks opened higher Monday, on track to close at fresh 2016 highs, as the market continued to build on Friday’s gains after June’s official jobs report came in significantly above expectations. The S&P traded above its previous all-time closing high, set in May 2015. A rise in oil prices CLQ6, -0.22% also helped boost risk appetite. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, +0.48% added 50 points, or 0.3%, to 18,200, the S&P 500 index SPX, +0.32% gained 6 points, or 0.3%, to 2,137, while the Nasdaq Composite Index COMP, +0.60% added 25 points, or 0.5%, to 4,983.

Yes, folks, our socialist, communist, Muslim, Kenyan, America-hating president is really grinding his heel on the American economy. One must wonder what would be happening if Obama wasn’t trying to destroy America.

How odd? The economy seems to do so much better when those evil tax and spend democrats are in office. We are living this truth and yet the rwnj’s refuse to see what is directly in front of us. I don’t know how much more evident it can be which party is the best for the country right now. If it weren’t for racist bigots, we would be guaranteed a democratic sweep in November. I hate to characterize groups of people, but what other benefits come from voting for the republican party? What type of policies can they legitimately run on? All they have going for them is divide in hopes to conquer.

You know this is killing them right?

I hope so, I just have a hard time believing they have the comprehension skills needed to understand this.

I often do a Scooby-doo double take when I hear so many of these GOP members say that this country is “headed in the wrong direction.”
So, they liked the Bush years and that was the right direction? They enjoyed the market crash, the impending Great Depression number two, the 10% and climbing unemployment, being the laughing stock of other countries? We are going in the complete opposite direction and it is pretty damn good. They just spew this crap over and over and their sheep keep lapping it up and spew the same thing. It’s an alternate universe they live in. It’s mind boggling.

I know, sometimes I feel like I am living in a crazy parallel universe.

          I think we are.

The Republicans, Ms. McFly, do live in a crazy parallel universe. Just look at their platform: they’ve adopted a plank that says that the major public health danger in our country is…get ready for it…PORNOGRAPHY…NOT CHILD PORN, ALL PORN FOR ADULTS.
Think about this: the major public health danger is NOT: Zika Virus; Cancer; Heart Disease; Pulmonary Disease; AIDS; Liver Disease; Pre-Natal Genetic Disorders; for that matter, Arthritis…which bedevils all of us over 50. No…it’s PORNOGRAPHY!!!!

I would hate to see what is under their mattresses.

Economy always does better under the democrats.

Great paper, they need to use these facts and beat the republicans with them. Voters have been beaten over the head with lies about how bad Hillary and Bill are. When Hillary was SOS, her likability was in the 80’s, but now that she is the candidate, her ratings are in the 40’s. Democrats need to take the message and run with it, and our message will be the truth.

Wonder if they’ll blame Obama for this…and that damn unemployment is too low….more bad news, wages are starting to pick up…boo hoo…

    Thanks Obama…:)

Just compare the economies of three states; Ca, La, and Ne. Then you can decide which model is better, Republicans in La and Ne or Democrats in Ca.

Republicans point out how the economy is bad for the middle class and poor, ask for their votes to correct it, and then work directly against their interests. The classic “bait and switch” grift.

  6. Elliot J. Stamler July 16th, 2016 at 19:58

And the Republicans keep yammering at how the president and my party has wrecked the economy!!!
It would be amazing if we were to expect sense and rationality from the opposition-but radical extremists, which is they are nowadays, are not rational or sensible.
We were about to go over the cliff into a total DEPRESSION when the president took office. His domestic financial and monetary policies saved us.
Yes we have more to do. We always do.
But THEY are the road to regression.
