Obama to speak in Dallas Tuesday, after which he’ll be criticized for not going soon enough and saying the wrong things
President Obama will travel to Dallas Tuesday, and we can expect the splodey-sploding right to criticize him soon thereafter.
Click here for reuse options!The President will visit the Texas city at the request of Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said in a statement. The service will take place at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center.
Obama is cutting short a European trip to travel to Dallas, but he has spoken out on the shootings several times while abroad. While in Spain Sunday, the President condemned citizens who attack police officers, saying they are performing a “disservice to the cause” of criminal justice reform.
Obama made the remarks following a bilateral meeting with Spanish Interim Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy.
“Whenever those of us who are concerned about fairness in the criminal justice system attack police officers, you are doing a disservice to the cause,” Obama said at the Moncola Palace in Madrid.Obama said that police and activists need to work together and “listen to each other” in order to mobilize real change in America.

Nat Turner’s Rebellion, the War of 1812, the Alamo, the Mexican American War, the Civil War (or, if your prefer, the War of Northern Aggression), the Spanish American War, the San Francisco earthquake, the Great Depression, the War with Eastasia. In short anything bad in the last 1000 years (real or not) is clearly Obama’s fault. Either he did it or he failed to stop it, because he hates America and loves terrorists. I really wish that this was actually far fetched.
