Newtown teacher resigns after bringing loaded gun to school

Jason Adams, a science teacher at the Connecticut school, was arrested in April for bringing a loaded gun to class.

He was accused of carrying a loaded .45-caliber pistol in a holster while at the school.

Adams has a valid pistol permit, authorities said, but Connecticut state law prohibits possession of firearms on school grounds.

He had been placed on administrative leave.

Adams didn’t immediately return a message Saturday seeking comment.

Newtown Middle School is located less than two miles from the site of the December 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting rampage, which left 20 first-graders and six educators dead.

Great decision, let him make his political stand outside and away from the school. Anyone who would leverage the deaths of children is a morally corrupt human being.

How long before the NRA comes to his aid and announces that they will finance any lawsuit that he files against the district?
