Pride celebrations across America see tight security

Security is tighter this year than ever at gay pride celebrations around the nation.

More officers will be posted in places such as New York during the parades following the mass shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando.

The LGBT community in St. Petersburg, Florida, paid tribute to the 49 people who died and the 50 others who were wounded during the horrific massacre two weeks ago.

Men and women held signs with the names of friends and family who were slain by ISIS sympathizer Omar Mateen.

In 1970, (I think) I was on Dearborn St. Downtown Chicago photographing publicity for a Vampire movie a friend of mine was producing only to find myself in the middle of a Pride Parade.

If was a gas. And imagine we had four actresses professionally costumed in Vampire garb.

We were welcomed to join the parade and we never had so much fun

My wife was in San Francisco over Halloween one year. so she had to go to the Castro district… sounds like it was a whole lot of fun.
