A federal grand jury will look into whether Noor Salman should be indicted.

…Salman has told investigators that Mateen told her he had interest in carrying out a jihadist attack — but she denied knowing of any specific plans, a law enforcement official told CNN previously.

Salman has told investigators she was with her husband on at least one trip to buy ammunition, according to multiple law enforcement officials. When and where that was is unclear.

      Terrorism suspects don’t get lawyers and can be held indefinitely … I think they held that Padilla guy for 3 years without charging him as an enemy combatant… Then gave him 20

        but, this is domestic terrorism. this was a hate crime. not ISIS. he bragged about it, but had no ties.

          The wife can still be held under the act… Padilla was a citizen on US soil and W charged him as an enemy combatant .. When he didn’t talk they transferred him to a military prison and water boarded his a$$

            yeah and the civil liberties group became involved and the charges were dropped and he was then tried in civilian court. and another difference between the two is that, although she didn’t say anything, she didn’t conspire as Padilla had. maybe she was threatened, who knows, but if she was and he was abusive to her, this sure as hell would have been a good time to open her mouth.

      she doesn’t have to talk now. more than likely they either read her, her rights and/or asked her would she volunteer information. and it sounds like, in either case, she’s hanging a noose around her neck.

    I suspect that she is suffering from “battered spouse” syndrome.

    I’m not making excuses for her. She may deserve jail.

    But this guy may have beat her into this.
