He tried friending those who run other gay clubs on Facebook.

Micah Bass, owner of the Revere Nightclub and The M Hotel, said Mateen sent him a friend request on Facebook late last week. “With running The M and Revere, I constantly get requests from LGBT allies, performers, and potential guests who just want to have fun and spend time with family and friends,” Bass said. He told the FBI of Mateen’s friend request and is reviewing security footage to see if the suspected shooter or any potential accomplices visited the property in the weeks leading up Sunday’s shooting massacre at Pulse.

      now the fed’s are claiming he ‘may have been radicalized’

      was under surveillance for several years 2013/2014 then closed the probe.

      have found no connection with any co-conspirators.

      seems like he enjoyed making up terrorist connections sh*t, much like republiKons are proud of.

      (as if radical Christians aren’t terrorist enough)

      His religion does seem to be a veneer over his homophobia.

      But, I don’t give Fundamentalism a pass. Extreme conservatism is far too close to mental illness. Yes, Muslims need to separate themselves from this guy. But so do conservatives.

      Who doubts that this guy was fixated on the gays?

      Confident, straight men aren’t bothered by the gays.
