Hearings on Trump U alleged fraud to bookend Republican Convention

Donald Trump will accept his party’s nomination for president against the backdrop of allegations of fraud in the name of Trump University.

On the first day of the Republican National Convention, as well as the day after Donald Trump is expected to accept the party’s presidential nomination, U.S. District Court Judge Gonzalo Curiel is set to hold hearings in the two class-action lawsuits alleging that Donald Trump and Trump University committed consumer fraud and other corrupt practices.

Curiel — whose ability to be unbiased Trump has questioned because of the judge’s “Mexican heritage” and membership in a Latino bar association — is holding a pair of hearings in the cases scheduled for the week of the Republican National Convention.

On July 18, Curiel is scheduled to be holding a hearing over several motions brought by Trump’s lawyers in the case accusing him personally of having violated the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, commonly known as RICO. Specifically, the Cohen v. Trump lawsuit alleges that Trump “committed or aided and abetted the commission of at least two acts of racketeering activity” — mail fraud and wire fraud — in conjunction with his creation of Trump University.

July 19th is the full moon, the symbol of the harvest. What an interesting harvest the GOP is going to have at the convention. I bet it will be totally rock’n.

I think this entire debacle goes a lot deeper than Trumps phony college.

Probably hard to prove a bribe but still, the ethical implications….

Apparently it will take our AG here in NY to do the job that these other crooks (who are just like Trump) would not do.

The hysterical part is that Trump gave 12500 dollars to the NY AG for his campaign. Schneiderman said “thanks, here’s your summons, see you in court”. I think this is why Trump is so enraged and unhinged.

Gotta love it! He was covering all of his bases figuring he would get special favors when he needed them. Not so fast. Sheriff Schneiderman is in town. :)
