Palin accuses Obama of Hiroshima ‘apology lap’
Sarah Palin is repeating a right-wing mantra that is untrue on its face.
Click here for reuse options!The 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee pivoted to Obama’s trip during her opening speech for Trump, calling the trip an “apology lap,” the Washington Post reported, in the Japanese city that was flattened by a US atomic bomb.Palin said Obama was “dissing our vets” and that he believes “the greatest generation was perpetuating the evil of World War II.”
“Our commander in chief suggesting – actually, lying in suggestions – to the world that we were wrong to prove that we would eradicate evil in World War II,” she said.
The president did not apologize for the U.S.’ decision to use an atomic bomb to end World War II in his visit to the memorial site in Hiroshima Friday.

In the minds of self-absorbed, soulless conservatives such as Palin, patriotism and loyalty to the nation mean displaying complete indifference to the collateral damage that the United States has caused during armed conflicts overseas, and to never acknowledge that we may have made errors in judgement with respect to our foreign policy decisions.

Years ago I worked with a young man whose parents were from Kobe (I think). They told him of U. S. planes bombing all the water towers and plants during the day, and dropping napalm all over the city at night.

The President went to Hiroshima to pay respects for a decision we had to make 70 years ago. He honored those who served by showing how we have evolved past the point of war and we now can be supportive on each others successes. He furthered his idea of having a world where nuclear bombs no longer exist, that shows he is a humane man and your are nothing more than a twisted b!tch who needs to go away.
