Tommy Chong nixed from Sanders rally at last minute

Posted by | May 23, 2016 20:00 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

Actor and marijuana advocate Tommy Chong is perplexed at being dropped from a Sunday Sanders rally.

Chong, who was invited on Sunday to Sanders’ noon rally in Lincoln Park, says he is sure the campaign put distance between himself and Sanders over the marijuana issue, calling the move a “weakness” by the Sanders’ camp. He joked that his hair and makeup were done for nothing.

Chong says he already did a radio interview early Monday morning talking about how excited he was to introduce his candidate.

“Now I’m going to look like a fool, like one of those guys who starts bragging about something that isn’t true,” he tells THR. “And I don’t like that because my endorsement means a lot because of what I have gone through and what the whole [marijuana] culture has gone through.”

If this story is accurate, it is a bad move by the Sanders campaign.

The right wing does not run away from racist, hypocrite draft dodging pedophile Ted Nugent. On the morality scale, Tommy Chong is so far above Nugent, we would need Einstein’s mathematics to accurately measure the difference. So why should Chong be ostracized?

Agree. I don’t get why Bernie would nix a marijuana advocate here in California. Particularly Tommy Chong. Doesn’t make sense. Maybe some ranking campaign staffer made a dumb decision.

most likely a mutual agreement between Sanders and the DNC to appear to be more center right? Cocaine addicted RepubliKons would have a field day blabbing to the weak minded religious cults about drug dealing Democrats ruining America, when records CLEARLY show POTUS REAGAN holds the worldwide record for the delivery and distribution of drugs in America with much profits to the ‘insiders’ offshore bank accounts.
