Calling Mrs. Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, “heartless hypocrites,” he dared them to “let their bodyguards immediately disarm,” an apparent reference to their Secret Service protection.
“Let’s see how good they do,” Mr. Trump said. “Let’s see how they feel walking around without their guns and their bodyguards. In the meantime, nobody else can have the guns, right?”

People used that same stupid line on Obama, let him get rid of his armed Secret Service detail if he’s against guns. First of all, neither the President nor Hillary have said they are against guns. Second, either one of them having armed guards has nothing whatever to do with the issue. Did any Republican president, no matter how pro-NRA he might be, get rid of his Secret Service detail? It’s a red herring.

It’s no where near a red-herring, it would have to improve by powers of ten to achieve that level. It is at the level of a third grader playground taunt made by a really slow thinking third grader. I’ve had gun nuts say the same thing to me when I’ve challenged their fetish. Then they go on to fantasize how they would easily take down any bad guy with a gun and no bystander would get hurt.

Just remind them of that Wall Street incident a few years ago, where several bystanders got shot by cops, who are supposed to be trained professionals. This fantasy about the “good guy with a gun, etc.” makes me want to cram it down their f*cking throats. And I’m not a violent person.
