Best selling book is not the Bible

Nor is it The Art of the Deal. It’s The Complete Calvin and Hobbes.

The massive 14-pound, 1456 page 4-volume collection has been a bestseller on Amazon.com since it was published after creator Bill Waterson pulled the plug in 1995 on the popular comic strip, featuring the adventures and observations of a boy named Calvin and his stuffed tiger Hobbes.

According to the popularity ratings, the cartoon collection is followed by the ESV Study Bible and then Toda Mafalda, another collection of comic strips — only in Spanish.

Other smaller collections of Calvin & Hobbes cartoons occupy spots eight and nine in the top 10 list.

I would rather live by the precepts in Calvin & Hobbes than the bible. No incest, slavery or murder in C&H.

Calvin and Hobbes brings smiles to your face, can’t say that for most of the Bible.

And it won’t rot your brain.

Or make you feel hate towards others.

religion is the justification for hating whoever you want to hate…..except for conservatives who want to hate the poor, because at over 3,000 times, when it says to take care of the poor, clearly Jesus loved and cared for them.

my grandfather was always disgusted by the part about some sisters deceiving their dad and having sex in some cave….? Incest is certainly wrong, but that man wasn’t married to those girls, daughters or not, and he was still willing to have sex with how ever many there were of them.

People like Santorum should keep their kids out of church and from reading the Bible….

I think you are talking about Lot after his wife turned into a pillar of salt. It is one of the many perverted parts of the book.

And C&H has just as much proof of the reality of the title characters as the bible has for the existence of Yeshua Bar Yosef.

“Best selling book is not the Bible”

You’d think someone with a little pull would fix that. But then again, he doesn’t exist. Never did, never will.

i’ve used quotes from calvin & hobbes much more often than i have from that other book.
things like “i didn’t mean for her to take the insult personally” are so often soooooooo relevant.

If I used the word morality, I would add that it is also doing what is right even when others can’t see you doing right.
