Dog runs away from home, checks himself into daycare

Posted by | May 15, 2016 11:20 | Filed under: Planet

The pooch liked daycare more than his own domicile.

Last Friday, Tonia Mosteller was walking her 5-year-old Golden Retriever, Riley, in Belmont, NC, when the pair ran into a group of dogs from Riley’s day care during their morning walk.

“Riley was crying because he loves to play, he loves happy dogs,” Mosteller told CNN, adding that the pup cried the whole way home.

Hours later, Mosteller returned from her daily run to find Riley missing from the backyard.

Turns out, the independent canine had lifted the latch on the gate and walked over a mile on his own to the Happy Dog Cafe, where he patiently sat outside the front door and waited to be let in.

Well, they know they picked the right day care for their pooch…must be an awesome place or he would not want to go so bad.

That was great advertisement for the owner too, a real satisfied customer, even if he can’t use ‘Yelp’ LOL.

Hi! I wish I could drop my little Lisa off at day care but she’s got separation anxiety issues.

When my son has to go somewhere, he brings his tiny pooches to grandma and grandpa’s house. We made a puppy habitat for them and keep a supply of milk bones hahaha!

Lucky! When my sister is here she can’t stand staying with Lisa. She told me she stares at the door and sighs until she either realizes she hears my car or me walking near my walkway. Now, she comes with me whenever I have a short errand to run, she feels so bad for Lisa and Lisa won’t let her console her either.

Aw, poor baby! My son’s doggies love coming to nanny and paw paw’s they get so excited that it takes them 15 to 20 minutes to calm down so that we can even hold them…they can’t decide who’s lap they want in first.
