Man wakes from 48-day coma, asks for Taco Bell

Click here for reuse options!Jake Booth, a 35-year-old Army vet and former Sheriff’s deputy in Collier County, Fla., was hospitalized in February with a bad case of bronchitis that turned into double pneumonia. Days later, he suffered a heart attack and was put in a medically-induced coma.
On April 3, after 48 days, Booth awoke.
His first words? “I want Taco Bell.”

A medically induced coma must be a hell of lot different than a trauma induced coma.
I had a close friend who had brain injuries from a traffic accident. He was comatose for 8 months and when he started to come out, had to have extensive therapy to talk and still can’t walk. He remembers his college days, but can’t recall what happened yesterday.
Sorry for the rant, just miss how my friend used to be because the Hollywood perception of awakening from a coma is generally different from this.
