this is not about caring about life it is about controlling other people and trying to punish women for having sex. This is also like some Muslims wanting to kill their daughters for getting raped, even when wearing covering head-to-toe to avoid being seen. Some raped women get pregnant and to some, carrying the child of a rapist is extreme torture. Or punishing women for having a deformed fetus that has no chance of survival.

Herbert attended Brigham Young University but did not graduate. He never returned to
college and instead worked in real estate, his highest level of education is a high school diploma. – Yet another unqualified GOP extremist trying to dictate the practice of medicine.

This law mandates placing an unnecessary risk for the woman with the use of anesthesia. – Yet even more, this law completely ignores individual medical circumstances in which the use of anesthesia may actually be detrimental. Only a physician is qualified to make this decision. Both Herbert and the legislators in Utah failed to acknowledge those little things called scientific and medical facts.

For non-compliance, physicians can have their medical license revoked. – In reality, only a State Medical Board or a judicial court should determine the revocation of a medical license. – They are certainly more qualified than a governor with a high school education.
