KASICH OUT

Posted by | May 4, 2016 12:10 | Filed under: Politics

John Kasich is dropping out of the presidential race.

Kasich’s decision came after he improbably became the last challenger to Donald Trump, who emerged as the presumptive GOP nominee Tuesday night when Ted Cruz dropped out.

Even before winning his home state of Ohio in March, Kasich was facing pressure to get out of the race, with no clear path to victory. His campaign never became more than a spoiler run, designed to keep Trump from getting the 1,237 delegates needed to win the nomination before a contested convention.

      The guy who won Ohio.

      It is now official that Kasich did win the Ohio primary.

      Karl Rove called it just a few minutes ago.

    Hopefully they are just giving up on this battle front and planning for an assault in July.

    There is going to be a ton of pressure on Bernie to drop out – but I hope he stays in. It will not only be of benefit to liberals for him to stay in, but of benefit to Hillary. The more pressure she has to move left, the easier it will be for her to justify doing so to her donors/sponsors, and the stronger candidate she will become.

    Not quite the panache of Kobe Bryant’s “Mamba out” drop the mic exit, but it works for me. In my opinion, Gov. Kasich would have been the most competitive GOP candidate.

    Kasich was out a long time ago, but the body wouldn’t lay down.

    Sorry, but for some reason, all I can come up with is;
    “KASICH OUT! PEACE!
    I would gain a bit more respect for the one (comparatively) sane RW candidate, had he done this…

    He might have been the more palatable one but he was still a women hating budget slashing Republican
