Search for his name at Fox and you get a year old story about Wayne Simmons the hockey player. Not a peep about this guy.

Just a thought…I love this site, and come here daily, to read, upvote, sometimes comment or link, but I do have trouble with the software that moderates words that are used elsewhere with no problems…four letter words so far, but it seems a little silly to me to have my comments banned for saying sh*t.

    • Alan May 2nd, 2016 at 14:31

Are you really upset that you can’t use the s-word here? We’re doing you a favor by forcing you to be more creative :)

        i use “bat guano” lol

      • oldfart May 2nd, 2016 at 15:34

I personally enjoy being creative here Alan however the hold for approval does seem a little…Quirky ?
Swearing aside, I triggered it quite a few times without cussing. Is there something you’re aware of that we may not be, that we can avoid ?

        • Alan May 3rd, 2016 at 19:19

Nothing I’m aware of, but the quirks are likely via Disqus, not specific to this site.

          • oldfart May 4th, 2016 at 10:59

            Disqus, Postus Interuptus ?!?

      • eyelashviper May 2nd, 2016 at 15:42

I just type quickly, do not even think about it often, only realize what has happened when I see the little clock on the post.
I am used to other sites, where such words are not verboten…
Clearly, many words or slurs are pretty rude or obnoxious, but most four lettered words are in our common lexicon.

  6. peacfulseas inWA May 3rd, 2016 at 19:19

I wish Alan had been more informed about the incident in Seattle. This is at the top of the list with people like the Stavers, AFA, NOM, FOTF. PJI. Here’s the thing
the trans person in WA.state did not expose themselves to the 2 teens. The teens were in an area they were restricted from entering. The trans woman was sitting in the sauna with another female companion out of direct sight of the window. The teens in question had to make an effort to view the women using the sauna. This all according to people in charge of the facility. There is a recorded phone interview from a representative of the facility. But people like Liberty Counsel are willing to fabricate lies to advance their agenda of continued discrimination and fill their coffers. Pacific Justice Institute did the same in California and Colorado. Fact is these laws do not protect anyone and is but this political cycle wedge issue to rile up the ignorant lazy people unwilling to investigate the issue from both sides.

  7. Budda May 4th, 2016 at 08:48

Go to a sauna in the Nordic countries and you’ll see a lot of nudity….oh, the horror!

    • Kick Frenzy May 4th, 2016 at 23:07

Oh, the horror… of airfare to Nordic countries!

      dang it!

QUESTION: How may of you have had your face “looked at” by a sightless person?
I find myself curious about the whole thing, and the results.
(Once, long ago in my case, and I was a child.{Miss you, Niel})

    • Mike May 7th, 2016 at 08:51

As a born skeptic about everything I’ve questioned touch reading myself…

Have you heard of Molyneux’s problem …???
      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molyneux%27s_problem
      A crazy thought experiment
      The results will surprise you.

      • Hirightnow May 7th, 2016 at 09:46

Actually was surprised, as I would think that a straight line is a straight line, and a curved surface is a curved surface, whether by touch OR sight.
But thinking about it (and thank you very much for forcing me to do that on a Saturday!), I had to figure that spatial conception(?) for sight would be different than that for touch. I had just never considered the matter in any real sense.
Fortunately for me, I was born with both, and they’re now hopelessly integrated with each other.
(Considering the wackiness that was “natural philosophy” in the 18th century, I’m kinda surprised that Molyneux didn’t suggest taking people who had been born without a sense of touch, and blinding them, then testing to see if they could still tell the difference between a cube and a sphere…)

        • Mike May 7th, 2016 at 12:26

Reversing to formula doesn’t work…(that’s the paradox, kinda) When the 2 senses come together (sight and touch)they cancel any concept held and create fact.
The experiment is about the limits of conceptualization … if these subjects had trouble between a straight line and a curve what does that say about our conceptualizations of a 4th dimension, quantum mechanics, or other theoretical ideas…???
It’s a very deep thought experiment, and yes Locke broke it down fairly nicely…

    So, here’s something awesome…
It’s a new talk show and the girl hosting has a wicked awesome sense of humor.
You NEED to watch this… it’s both a great interview and will have you laughing through it all.
(Plus, it’s only 7 minutes long.)

    I’ll put it this way.
I joined YouTube (under this avatar) years ago and tonight was the first time I subscribed to a channel.

Angel that fell from the sky turns out to be a sex doll. Yes, sex doll.

” An Indonesian man walking on the beach in Bangaii last month discovered what he thought was an angel that fell from the sky following an “auspicious solar eclipse.” Believing she was a “creature from God,” the man took her home, dressed her up in a blouse and skirt and told his parents about his amazing find.

Out of a sign of respect, the man’s parents changed the angel’s clothing on a daily basis despite the fact that she was slowly deflating. As rumors of the “angel” began to spread amongst fellow villagers, the man and his parents received an unexpected visit from the police, who didn’t take long to come up with a reason as to why the angel was losing air.

It turns out the man’s angel was really…wait for it…a sex doll”

Pictures are worth a Thousand Words…

I just don’t know what I am trying to say….

In this Nation, while we toil away in our own private world, we have distractions, and we have disagreements…when the Clamor gets too much, I retreat into my Fortress of Solitude…

I wish only to share the beauty that surrounds us…Not only our natural wonders, but the Wonders of our relationships with each other…

We, will overcome our Political Turmoil…And we will do it together…

    so much for words….

I just had to drop a note that for once, I’m aggravated with Bernie.
Or, to be more precise, his scheduling.

Finally, Bernie will be in NJ and I have a chance to see him in person… or do I?
    The answer is “no”.
    No, I don’t.

    Why?
Because he has two appearances (so far) and the first is on Mother’s Day.
The second is on Monday, but doors are at 6:30am.
There’s no way I can make either one of those.

    I love him, but… yarg.
I hope he has at least one more NJ rally!

    • whatthe46 May 8th, 2016 at 02:23

why can’t you make it tomorrow? mother’s day comes around every year. this opportunity doesn’t happen every year. go for it.

      • Kick Frenzy May 8th, 2016 at 02:51

Well, I’m married and we have a kid who’ll be 4 at the end of July.
We have her side of the family coming over and she has a ton of cooking to do.
And I have some last minute stuff to take care of (flowers, finish the card from our son, and hopefully get him to make a painting as a present for her) before she gets up from letting her sleep in… and then when she wakes up, I’m off to grab her a Chai Latte.

But really, if we didn’t have company coming over and my older son (from a previous relationship) staying with us temporarily, I’d offer to go to the rally together with her for Mother’s Day.
But ain’t no way in God’s green Earth that I’ll leave her here alone to both watch our kid and make dinner and desserts while I get to go see Bernie in person… without her.

If I could, I certainly would!!

        • whatthe46 May 8th, 2016 at 02:54

          you’re so sweet.

        • whatthe46 May 8th, 2016 at 02:57

          so what about monday?

          • Kick Frenzy May 9th, 2016 at 19:22

I wanted to go today as well, but again… not really feasible.
We had our niece to babysit this morning and again, leaving my wife to deal with the two kids while I get to go see Bernie would be kinda crappy of me… plus, I’d be happier if I had her there with me. :)

(Not to mention, waking up early enough to get to AC before 7:30am didn’t seem to appealing. I basically would’ve gotten one hour of sleep if I were lucky.)

        • DogsRgoodpeople May 8th, 2016 at 17:31

geezuz kick, you are truly awesome

    • robert May 8th, 2016 at 03:12

make a $50 donation on his website and he will send you some cool stuff

its the best option if you cant go to the rally

      • Kick Frenzy May 9th, 2016 at 19:23

Well, heck… I make random donations to him without buying anything.
And plan on doing so again tonight. :)

    • DogsRgoodpeople May 8th, 2016 at 18:00

well, i know people in the hillary camp don’t get it kick, but i do. i don’t need to go see him, but i want the opportunity to vote for him. he gets that. i’m in california, the really good part. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emerald_Triangle.
but we are last on the primary voting days. no matter though, bernie’s gonna let us do it.

      • Kick Frenzy May 9th, 2016 at 19:24

I hear ya… we vote on the same day here in NJ!
(And we’re the second biggest delegate count on that day.)

well…the Sixties are a little difficult to remember these days….and parts of the Seventies…maybe a portion of the Eighties, as well…throw in the Nineties, and early Twothousands and ya gets the prize…now, what was the question?

        • bpollen May 9th, 2016 at 15:26

          “now, what was the question?”
